yes it is. you have to be careful of what you ingest.

eating clean and weight training is the key.

I lost 5% of bf and maintained the same bodyweight over 5months with 4days of weight training a week and 1 day of sports(basketball, my only cardio).

thanks. I am really strict 5 days a week, and let loose a little during weekends(still maintain high protein, just allow more calories and cheat meals but with limitation).

Diet consists of the high protein, mod carbs, mod/low fat 6 meals a day. 3 main meals, 2 snacks(usually sandwiches/boiled eggs), 1 post workout shake.

Main source of carbs are pasta, oatmeal and white rice(post workout meals only).
Protein from WHOLE eggs, milk, chicken, fish, and red meat.

Training is a 4 day split. mon-thurs, friday 2+ hours of basketball(cardio).

seems to be working out great for me.

I was 72kg with 22%bf a year ago. The last test I did 3 weeks back at CF Subang Parade showed 75.4kg at 16.4% bf.

it's self-discipline man. you don't expect things to happen overnight.
if you cant control your own food, nobody can.
just like any overweight ppl out there, they know wat they r eating, but they refuse to control and regret it later...

u guys should start a gain muscle and abs faq and sticky some of your testimonies. along with helpful videos like darkie posted 1 about spot reduction myth..

most of the ppl who have no idea where to start have the same goals.. they either want to

1) look fit but not look bulky and muscular when they are overweight
2) look fit but not look bulky and muscular when they are underweight

Hey man. I swim 4 times a week, two hours at a time normally. Don't know how much it helps with bodybuilding though, I just swim for relaxation.

i doubt it has much to do with bodybuilding.
it may be a good exercise (whole body)
but i dont think it helps u to gain muscles.
maybe toning yes... or some muscles in certain areas.
but not as bodybuilding is concern.

If you want to look like a bodybuilder, you have to train, eat and live like one.
If you want to look like a swimmer, then u do what a swimmer does.

so if u wanna look like a bodybuilder, but want to do swimming, you would look like a swimmer instead of a bodybuilder.

I have sex for relaxation.

On a side note, bodybuilding isn't just going to the gym. Hence the famous equation:-
Bodybuilding = recovery = bodybuilding
Recovery = proper nutrition, proper nutrient timing and adequate recuperation.
No one gets bigger in the gym, they get bigger outside the gym.
