 PSN Home banned in Malaysia?, Sony has this to say about PSN Home

Ok, out of curiosity I e-mailed Sony about why PSN home not available to Malaysia. Their reply:

Makes me wonder tho. What is it that is so offensive in PS Home that makes them think MCMC will go after them if they launch it?

Edit: Just sent second e-mail asking them for details. Very interested in seeing what's so offensive.

Already did. I e-mailed them again shortly after I made the post. Will keep you guys informed when they reply.

My US friend decided to not buy a PS3 for now because of the blah reviews FFXIII is getting :/ He's a FF/KH fan and was originally also going to get a PS3 for FFXIII. I want to create an account and use his address. He gave me permission to use it first, but I feel it's not polite to use it until he gets his PS3.

Makes sense. Sony probably need MMORPG operator license to operate Home in Malaysia if they're planning to segregate by country instead make whole of Asia use HK server.

See first page. I e-mailed them asking why and they reply that they will not enable Home for Malaysia accounts apparently because of local law prohibiting them. They still haven't replied to my e-mail when I press them for details tho.

I just went to Sony Style in Empire Shopping Gallery yesterday and a salesman say that Malaysia's system is currently being upgraded, and they are working to bring in Home in the future, although they don't know when it will happen. A bit more positive sounding but still not good enough for me.

Like I said, I want to use US home, but my friend in the US has decided not to buy a PS3 oredi because FFXIII got slammed by review sites due to linear story. He's only interested in the main FF/KH range, and nothing else, not even FF/KH spinoffs. Now I can only hope that KH3 gets glaring reviews when it comes out.

Yeah, he already give me blessing to use his address first, but I just feel that it's not nice to use until he gets his PSN account. And I dare not use a random address because Sony may send freebies like magazine or pamphlets. And if the thing get returned to Sony with a "address doesn't exist" or "person doesn't live here", it could tip Sony off.
