i read this thread from 1st till end to consider the pros and cons of this project since this is my first home.

but my kitchen wall tiles quite a lot of cracks  sad.gif  and from FB of DB.. some owners face other problems too...

can see now they are gazetting the guardhouse..

cant wait to see what kind of guardhouse are they building... hmm.gif

ReiShou, r u staying sg long currently? if u r existing sg long resident, then u will know the traffic problem. Normally early of year until the school 1st holiday, the road exit to sg long will start jam before 6.30am. u will definitely need to spend at least 20 mins to 30 mins just to reach grand saga highway. After 1st school holiday, the traffic will a bit better before 7am, it will take about 10 to 15 minutes to grand saga highway junction. During school holiday, u can reach opposite of jusco cheras selatan about 10 mins time.

I have no idea when the 2nd exit from bukit sg long to silk highway will be ready as Mr. Tan Boon wah did inform me that already got approval. If this ready, the traffic incoming to sg long will be improved. For those would like to goto Balakong and wish to avoid traffic jam, can use the road and pay RM1.

Thinking to buy inter unit at sub sale price rm730k but when i visit the BD link house kinda disappointed and my mind change not to buy...one is some owner they renovated the facade like add canopy , add railing unt the original design is out ! And the agent told me bank value latest was only rm 600k ++ 

Looks nice, this is freehold ya?

I havent check with bank yet but I ask the agent , he said different bank value and speculate price about rm100k. Some of unit already occupied and renovated their house which spoilt the desa budiman facade design. After saw that no mood to buy already .

Unfortunately, Malaysia have a lot of these chinaman who likes to reno their house until it spoils the whole outlook of the neighborhood. This problem is not only prevalent in mid-range housing area like Desa Budiman but also in places like Setia Eco Park. Can't do anything about this....sigh....

The owners have every right to renovate their houses - individual titles. Nobody want to look like their neighbour!

Good luck to you if you get such neighbor. Once I saw a house in Cheras Vista phase 3, renovate until it looked like a temple. Due to this, the neighbor wanted to sell their house but nobody wanted to buy it even though it's at the lowest price on the whole phase 3.

I do have such a neighbour, but there is nothing I could do. He renovated the house to a completely god awful design way out of the normal designs in the whole taman. There is nothing we can do as MPKJ allows major change to facade and renovation after 10 or 15 years...I cant remember...

We MOVED out. I still love my old house and keeping it.


Added on August 22, 2012, 8:53 amIf you drive to Taming Mutiara, you will notice that most of the houses renovate their designs to look different. Some looks good, some chinapek design really take the cake.

My sil SD's opposite neighbour renovated his house till it looks like a jail...literally.

Then bought pasar malam furniture to furnish it... Invite his friends for Mahjong sessions and karaoke on their off days till late at night. They even place their plastic tables and chairs right on the road when they have friends over. Just like village days.

She was pissed and then found out her rich neighbour is pasar malam boss!

But beside asking them to reduce their "volume", there is nothing the neighbours can do. This is what happen when you have rich neighbours who couldnt care less.

this's nothing can do for all the link house in most of the area, not only desa budiman, unless you choose the strata title like desapark

But the side lots near the main road which facing the mountain gave me some unsecured feeling. It's like non gated for me.
