hi guys, need some opinion bout this moped : GT128

i was going to buy this bike next month, i like de design and the meter design is really cool.

but just now, when i chat bout it with my trainer when i was waiting my turn for the bike training......

"Modenas tak boleh punya la ... motor byk problem...."

"yang you boleh pilih 2 brand je : honda dan yamaha............"

"ini bagus (flipping a bike magazine)....(point) honda CBR 150" <---that's way out my budget, mine around 5k only.......

i heard bout the quality of our m'sia made bike, but izzit really that bad ? i mean, i do think they are really familiar with the bikes, but gosh the way how he talk bout modenas bike is like total bulk of rubbish and suggest me better go for other brand such as Yamaha and Honda..........

what you guys think bout this ? plz give some opinion.... i really have 0% knowledge bout bikes, any suggestion and opinion are highly appreciated.......

dunno about gt128 as its a new bike
but for kriss family, damn tahan
modenas is not the correct bike if u want power and good fc but really good in highway
its reliability even though not as tough as ex5 but at least better than yamaha or suzuki
even the new gen of ex5, coming from taiwan is not good as previous gen.
i'm using ct110 now and i like the power. better than wave 110S

yup, he just mention that 2 brand...

so at that time, i was like "oh my, msia people also dun really support msia made motor ehh.........this mean the motor must be really not that good?"

mayb they ride motor for a longer period, so smaller cc bike doesnt really meet their need.....

I'm on 1st generation of modenas gt128. So far what I can say about this bike is very good, not so bad fc, cool meter panel, good pickup, with good tuning I bet can play with lc. Ron 97 rm 6 full tank and can go till 100-120km. By the way I'm using iridium spark plug. Hehe.

my modenas kriss 110 stayed with the family for 8-9 years before it's sold off, without any major repair... and i really do thrash and abuse the bike alot.. maxing the throttle most of the time when i cruise on highway.. i would say it's a good and very reliable bike, the only reason it's being sold is cause no one is using the bike anymore..

i bought a gt128 around 3 months ago
the only thing i don't like abt it is the hard start
other than that it's a nice bike
fc Ron 95 RM5 can go around 110km or so(40km/L), that's not bad at all
speed the far i went was 145km/h then slowed down because it's dangerous
it's also more stable on the road than the other bikes around the same price
i like the digital clock and the rpm meter that it has

These days, don't look too much into the brand. Depends on certain model, Modenas does have some reliable bikes. GT128 is one of the hot favourites these days due to the trendy design, the 128CC and the popularity that came with Adnan Sempit. Bare in mind though, its a hot choice for thieves as well.

I think you can't go wrong with GT128. I'm a Lagenda user btw.

actually modenas is not that bad...the reason why more ppl goes for yamaha and honda is because it is easier to modified since all the racing parts and other third party spare parts is very much available in the market... but for modenas, its a bit difficult for modification, but if you are not going to modified your bike, then there should be no problem with modenas... (i know this from a very2 reliable source)

it's typical msian lah..anything got H logo (for cars n bikes) or Y name (for bikes) should be better than others. im not really a biker..but modenas is a good brand. the bike a bit underrated. smile.gif
