hello,i'm a noob too..how u guyz get ur high id or low id status? i'm using eMule 0.46c..and my status is always waiting..y?? no source??

I am low ID all this while, gathered from some other forums low ID still can get fast download, so after a while never bother to configure. The dowside is low ID cannot directly connected to another client of low ID

I get on average 60 - 80 kb/s download, max has reached 180 kb/s (sustained rate). I guess do not limit the upload rate too low, as some of the people might suggest. I usually download around 30 files simultaneously, and the rate only go up after sometime starting emule, i usually let it run round the clock. My cumulative UL:DL is 1:2.56

just my 2 cents worth of experience

i think if you have low ID, then you will be 'displaced' when some high ID client is connecting to the server, happen to me quite frequently with razorback 2. I am mostly connected to DonkeyServer No 1 or Big Bang 11

jones007, what fariz mean is while although there is lot of source, you need to look at the completed files. sometimes having a lot source with 0% of completed files ain't help you. try getting more source files and completed at same time smile.gif

sometimes a very popular file has very long queque, esp when one is having low id, then sources with also low id cannot be connected directly. You also lost your queque position once you are disconnected, and need to re-queque when connection is re-etablished.

i usually let emule run continuously, and do not retrict upload, because whatever people get from you, they have to 'pay' it back to you later. thumbup.gif

sometimes you need days to get a file completed

Recently my Emule has the following problem,

After I started Emule for about 10 minutes, it hanged.. cannot minimize/maximize, it just did not move, then I closed it, as usual it says program not responding bla bla.

When I wanted to off the PC it took forever and I have to force it to shut down.

It happened again and again.

I uninstalled 0.47a (recently upgraded) and reinstalled 0.46c, still the same.

Any idea what is going wrong??
