eMule has unicode support and will fetch you Chinese files when you search for them. Make sure you select global servers.

The real problem though is that Streamyx has appeared to have plugged the hole that allowed eMule traffic in the past. As of today eMule is barely crawling, if at all.

i hope whoever's able to find a workaround will post it here for us. *sigh* will this never end? why must TM persist to ruin the internet experience for all of us!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Good news is some of the people here have reported good results with Xunlei. I myself find that Xunlei is good for popular TV series, but almost useless when comes to certain torrents, or more specifically, certain BT trackers. For an idea of what I'm talking about, see picture.

Bottom line is, if you're big on Chinese shows and anime, Xunlei will come through for you with kamikaze speed. However, if your download is restricted to anime shows only, there is an alternative. Point your browser to the DivX wholesale hosting site. There you will find PVs, CMs, animes, the whole kit'n'kaboodle. Better than YouTube, the files you up or download are never converted into that unsavory FLV format.
