Just wanna share several shots from the 17mm 2.8
![]() ![]() A cheapo 37mm CPL filter was used. But I guess, I would be better if with out those filter. Added on May 10, 2010, 5:30 pm QUOTE(AIAF @ May 10 2010, 05:27 PM) Bokeh is actually referring to blur part at the foreground of your pic while the subject remain sharp. HDR I am not that sure...but it generally refers to unusual colours involved in a picture. Doesn't look natural, but if properly done, the result would be outstanding. QUOTE(faidz85 @ May 10 2010, 05:49 PM) Nice shots there bro. I guess so faidz85...but by that time I dare not to take out the filter, as I am afraid the sea wind might damage my lens is it the filter that made the picture looks a bit dark? Anyways, my brother got a Nissin flashgun for his d40 and it is actually compatible with the E-PL1. Hmm, now waiting eagerly for the Nissin |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ May 13 2010, 08:53 AM) no no... not provoking. Just want to said what I feel about NEX. It's very interesting... I'm excited by technological advancement... I love toys... so don't get me wrong.. I add you to list of E-PL1 user already.... ANyway, I just bought E-520 and I'm having fun playing with E-520 instead of E-P1... QUOTE(ae8za @ May 13 2010, 12:08 PM) Silver E-P2 it is... ae8za, does the VF helps when use with 17mm? I am planning to get one as I've got the 17mm already. TQVM in advance E-PL1 is too plasticky for my taste and NEX is too 'modern' designed. I'm into old school design so sticking with the E-P2 for the time being... It's my travel and leisure camera anyways so it must be something I'm comfortable in using and show to the public... The great thing is many people thought I'm still shooting film when I'm with my E-P1+17mm+VF... |

QUOTE(Guy85 @ May 23 2010, 09:51 PM) 20mm f/1.7 suitable for under low light situation, then do I still need to use external flash when using pancake? But if I'm using external flash together with pancake, what will be the effect? And if I'm using 14-42mm lens with external flash when shooting in low light condition, will the effect same as using pancake? Normally, most of my photographer friend referring the flash is the saviour in a lowlight condition, provided the flash can bounce. My guess is that, for F1.7, you don't need those flash since it is big enough to compensate the lowlight-ness. Do correct me if I am wrong ya Added on May 23, 2010, 9:55 pm Thanks for the info...pancake able to shoot under low light condition, so do I still need the external flash when using this pancake? |

QUOTE(seaotter @ May 23 2010, 11:51 PM) I would say yes...but definitely it's no match to Pana 20mm 1.7 hands down ![]() Those were taken with nikon 18-55 kitlens, with el-cheapo YongNuo YN460 fully manual flash. This post has been edited by walikard: May 24 2010, 12:16 AM |

QUOTE(frequency @ May 27 2010, 11:40 AM) any idea where can get leather jacket for E-PL1 in Msia (perhaps cheaper than Oly half jacket). Hmm, I think custom made would be better..with name carving some more..that would be great I have1 of my fren who doing hand custom-make leather products. She quotes me RM2xx for the leather jacket with option carving the name on the leather. |
