QUOTE(samurai1337 @ May 31 2010, 01:48 AM) My 2 cents In Taiwan.... GH1 price fall until cheaper than E-PL1. Like that worth it ker?GH1: Because it resembles DSLR, and most of the m43 adopters prefer a range-finder styled camera. And it's relatively expensive, might as well go for Nikon D90 / Canon 550D. No doubt, it's image quality and high ISO handling is a class above other m43 cameras though G2: Same reason as GH1, and plus I'm not too sure if it's widely available yet |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ May 31 2010, 08:50 AM) GH1 must buy with 14-140mm which cost around RM6k. No one is going to spend that much on non-dSLR camera... The current situation... these are all "market price" not RRP ya.Well, G2 is still new and I agree with samurai that G2 is like dSLR and might as well go for real dSLR... I pretty much disagree with your ISO handling for GH1. As for now, Olympus E-PL1 ISO handling is the best among all dSLR... unless I read wrongly [fanboy mode] Since this is m43 thread, the answer is m43 totally beat 550D, NX10 and NEX. The reason is because m43 ISO performance beat dSLR such as Nikon D3000 and from earlier review, NEX lenses have serious serious problem with abberation chromatic etc... while NX10 is totally not accepted by photography community because a lot of people think Samsung only do washing machine... [/fanboy mode] Added on May 31, 2010, 8:50 am really bor? OMG!!!! GH1 cheaper than E-PL1? How much is GH1 there? GH1 + 14-45mm kit --> NT22,900 GH1 + 14-140mm kit --> NT33,900 GH1 + pancake --> NT23,900 GF1 + pancake --> NT21,900 These are all Japan import. HK import more expensive by NT2000-3000 Oly only got Taiwan goods here (Oly is so freakin expensive here). E-PL1 zoom kit --> NT24,900 E-P1 kit --> ~NT30,000 E-P2 kit (14-42mm without EVF) --> ~ NT30,000 NEX5 2 lens kit --> NT26,900 NEX5 pancake --> NT20,980 NEX5 zoom kit --> NT22,980 550D 18-55mm kit --> NT29,980 (If Japan import branded KISS X4... around ~NT3000 less ) So... to summarise.... Oly over-priced here... Panny makes sense.. just the m43 sensor size.. NEX makes sense (2 lens kit and case closed)... just the lack of buttons and underwhelming lens. 550D is heavy and biggest black black hole potential since it'll scream for better lenses. As for the Samsung.. korean eat dogs so I dun consider them So decision's really a biatch. This post has been edited by sniper on the roof: May 31 2010, 10:01 AM |

QUOTE(gogo2 @ May 31 2010, 10:01 AM) ok, I will be less fanboy mode here. m43 is small. But its not small as your s90. So u still won't bring m43 everywhere like s90. in the end, u'll just bring s90 everywhere while using m43 for more serious photography. but if that's the case, why not got go for 550D? I really think u should go for 550D. Well, next is NEX. I think lack of button is not an issue. Lens underwhelm is an issue. To me, 550D to u is the best. NEX since its smaller than m43 with wideangle 16mm, I think its better. Ur choice would likely be NEX or 550D... unless of course, u like m43 because of Olympus for Image Stabilizer... Yeah.. I love compacts to death for the carry everywhere capability... especially the S90 and frankly, I'm considering getting another camera mainly because of samurai1337's poisonous flikr!!!! However, the size also cannot be too big cos the only time that I really have for tangkap gambar is on biz trips etc ... and for these, I cannot pack a dslr. |

QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Jun 7 2010, 10:09 AM) I just search the prices posting on this forum, Olympus really cut price a lot compared to Panny. Over here its the opposite... speaking in terms of both official and grey import goods. Is it expensive over there? How much they cost in Taiwan? All the Panny m43's potong price like hell... GF1 for example drop to around NT23K (RM2.3K) But all the Oly stuff... price steady.. no drop. Tak logic wan. E-PL1 - ~ RM2.5K EP1 kit - ~RM2.8K EP2 kit no EVF - ~ RM3K EP2 kit+EVF - ~ RM3.9K EOS 550D - ~ RM2.9K |
