My long term itch for GF1 is starting to surface again with the tempting price now... even when GF2 is around the corner.

550D is still a dslr lar.. bulky and rude. Some rumor say GF2 should be evolution of the GF1 only apparently. Same same but better.

No mode dial? Bundled f/2.5 is too slow for my purpose... actually the 20mm f1.7 is the only interesting thing for m43 for me.... the look is like a GF1+LX5 anak luar nikah and call it gut feel (we'll know in some hours)... but it feels as though its a rush job to compete with NEX head on.... which is stupid as it's still m43 vs APS-C (and a good one) sensor.

The GF1 always have a leica-like appeal to it.. but GF2 from first look... is like a typical consumer camera.

So disappointed

If this is the case, it would seem like M43 is doomed to be a one hit wonder di.

GF2 is soooo serious fail.

The reason I said that is that maybe I expected too much from Panasonic (like as in not raping the reputation of GF1).

In the 43rumors site poll... 63% voted that they won't buy the GF2. That's even more hate than when the NEX was announced

In the meantime (looks like its gonna be quite some time), I'll still have to lug my dslr around.

Panasonic (like Sony) is a consumer electronic giant not a camera company. As such their priority is mass market appeal.

ISO800 looks cleaner than GF1 due to stronger NR huh? Detail lost obvious even on small pic like that.

there's also no point getting LX5 when there's Ghey Friend 2 coming.
