QUOTE(riku2replica @ Feb 10 2011, 11:17 AM) Yes Any board with Intel 6 series chipset are affected. (I'm tired of explaining it repeatedly). so i can buy it now , and put my hdd/optical drives to sata 3 ports.and wait for replacement on april? It will not be affected if u move ur HDD/Optical drives to Sata 3 ports while waiting for replacement from Intel around April. Announcement from Asus |

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Mar 8 2011, 09:53 AM) http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=ZYgjt71bzlh62Zk9 means all sata can use or what ?R3 has B3 stepping chipset, which has fixed SATA port issue. Dont get confused with the revision number. the R3 should be referring to revision 3.0 of the PCB, not the chipset stepping |
