i bet that most of you after reading this kind of news will run some test, either using atto, sisoft or whatsoever, and find out that their "performance" read/write of hdd will "drop". of course, and most of you will get "placebo effect syndrom". right now i don't see any problem of my sata ports, because:
1. using 1 hard disk and one dvd-rw, both connected to sata0 & 1 which is sata3.0
2. based on my records, i use so-called latest technology, which the existing system will stands for a year (previous board, processor sold after 1 years usage, the previous before this previous used only 4 months

)
since they said "within 3 years", i don't care. the only thing i care is i registered my product(motherboard) with asus and they should track me down if replacement is available.
in the future, i hope that intel will design their southbridge that can be plugged in/out like a processor, ram and others. or just move the southbridge into processor die like northbridge.
