there are time that IGP are useful.

things such as ur card is down, you are a few weeks away from next generation card launch, but you cant wait a few weeks because you have got no PC. it simply doesnt make any sense to buy a temp discrete card to use a few weeks tongue.gif

the z68x-ud7 looked exactly like the p67a-ud7, perhaps just a bit of changes. anyway, i don't see why i need the on-die intel graphics when i can use discrete graphics. if my discrete graphic card has problem, i think i can wait for a few weeks as it is not as long as i had waited for the replacement of the ud7 for about 3 months and at the same time also waited for the arrival of hd6990. Nationtech is good enough to totally replaced my ud7 with a whole new package.

i would even prefer if my motherboard has no onboard sound (since i will never use it) but it is already a permanent feature on all motherboards so it is disabled all the way.

integrated graphic will work great if i'm building a htpc or a basic torrent downloading machine but not on my gaming system.

And for SSD caching feature, i think it works like the momentus XT but in the end, the user will also need to invest on a small capacity SSD so that it feature will work. In the end, i would just go and get a SSD to store my games.

Well, i could be wrong but it is just my opinion.

tentatively it will be in May but not sure exactly when it is going to be on sale here. i think it will be up to the distributors on how fast they can b ring them in.

perhaps u also need to check with your dealer whether he will allow you to exchange / upgrade to a z68 board of equivalent value or you can top up for a better one instead of swapping with a p67 board.

of course if the dealer allows, it will be good to for a z68 board if you need all the features.

The Gigabytes are just disappointment.
No VGA/DVI/HDMI/DP output, no Lucid Virtu etc... nothing more than just a P67 with new Z68 chipset.
Asus ROG anytime!~

at least i don't really feel any regret of not waiting for the z68x-ud7.
