QUOTE(lchee @ Jan 20 2011, 01:32 PM)
I think for ram 1333 to 1600 don't need higher voltage.  My ram still running at 1.5V.

When i go to my computer icon, right click and select properties, i see my computer system properties.  Processor speed it states 2.  One 3.3GHz, the other 5.8GHz.  Why is this so?  Is this common to all i2500K that overclock?  I did install core temp to monitor CPU usage and temperature.  When running Unigene, I notice the clock ranges from 1566 MHz to 4498MHz (I set OC to 4.5GHz), and sometimes even hit 5800MHz (though for a short few seconds).  CPU highest temp recorded was 51°C.  Is this normal?
*
I don't think your value RAM can stand 1600Mhz for prolonged usage due to heat issue. Make sure you cool it down properly or wait like time bomb b4 it start giving up smile.gif

QUOTE(kahjye @ Mar 10 2011, 01:02 PM)
hahahaha today i got update from them
im okay with two options which is REFUND or SWAP.

then yesterday i told them i would prefer refund.
just now morning a GIRL [ xD ] from asus called me up and suggested me to swap instead of refund.

A B3 mobo will be available to swap 1 on 1 without waiting on April.

She told me that if i insisted to refund , it will be very hassle and long waiting xD
so i guess i will take the newly swapped mobo and sell it off for easier direction for me to get back the money lol
*
We dealer/retailer are not being inform on the refund part, nor given the fund or any official letter/note/memo/announcement/"black & white" from ASUS Msia, they just inform me can only swap with B3 Rev from respective distributor, not through them (lepas tangan)

So conclusion,

1. You Want REFUND - Get Directly From ASUS Msia = Coz They Said So
2. You Want SWAP (my previous buyers) - Can go through me, turn over 1 week coz don't expect me to go distributor office everyday for single board, they don't provide any pickup service nor cover any transportation cost. Plus they also don't provide any advance units for direct SWAP smile.gif

So the swap is available now in Malaysia?

Gonna need to swap my sabertooth with my seller soon.  blush.gif

Where is Asus Malaysia btw? might be good to swap directly 1 to 1 on same day if they allow to swap @ distro.
*
For more info you need to call them directly smile.gif Contact number @ few post back. Not sure their swapping venue @ their main office or Royal Club @ Imbi Plaza

QUOTE(cybersans @ Mar 11 2011, 10:28 AM)
finally i can reach the local asus office. after having some conversation with their representative, they said that they will call most of the distributors and resellers about this REFUND. i just give them the number of shop where i bought, which is compuzone.

i hope this clueless & blur shop will be contacted by asus. and i hope all asus' reseller would not bite their own tongue after get phone call from asus tongue.gif laugh.gif
*
Not shop/retailer/dealer/reseller is blur, ASUS is the main blurry party smile.gif
No info & details provided, do you think WHOLE Msia reseller join hand don't want to REFUND?
Think twice smile.gif

Meanwhile, next time you call them, request for the person full name. Coz later person A deal with you said can refund, but person B story will be different smile.gif

QUOTE(zzzz52 @ Mar 11 2011, 01:41 PM)
I just hope that Asus will send all the dealers and retailers a black and white instruction for the refund. This will be more easy for us to deal with.
*
I'm still waiting smile.gif If the instruction is release & provided, I'm gladly do refund/swap to my customer. Just some people are too anxious, official date still way to go @ April

QUOTE(jinaun @ Mar 11 2011, 03:54 PM)
mine is different story
i called cycom and they insist its onli one to one exchange for asus p67 board

cannot refund nor topup to upgrade to better board.
*
For the time being, it's only SWAP with same model to B3 Rev ~ Apply For ASUS yawn.gif

thats what you think. but what i think is, if asus offer such like that, of course they need to cover all loss, including dealer's profit. if raw motherboard comes with price rm500 and sellers sells rm550, they need to pay back 550 to customers and of course asus need to pay back 550 (***if asus dare to continue their policy to allow refund) tongue.gif
whats what i called "opportunity". if you have chance like that, will you? don't say to me that you're so loyalty to what you just bought when somebody offer you to refund so that you can get your money, buy another think cheaper or powerful than previous wink.gif
*
They won't do such policy. Coz they will have major loss smile.gif
That's why story from ASUS Msia is different from reseller whistling.gif
They push the refund by simply giving fact it can be done without proper channel = reseller have to bear the loss IMO
Why should we reseller bear the cost by letting big company like ASUS get away? smile.gif
They take/earn your money and our money but seems like skipping away by short-cut
Anyway I'm still waiting for their call regarding the refund, hope it's not a futile wait biggrin.gif

I don't see how reseller will need to bear the so-called loss.

It's not a loss to them, just an opportunity cost (loss of sales).

1) Reseller refund to customer based on their selling price
2) Supplier refund them back the cost of their purchase
3) In the end, the reseller only lose out the sales, not a loss.
*
Then I guess you never be a successful business-man if your mind-set like this biggrin.gif

See bold part, seems you don't know what you are talking about smile.gif

Time, effort & other cost ect provided on the sale no need to cover?

Example, Retailer - Many cost need to cover (shop rental, electricity, bills utility ect) ~ Online Reseller - Time and effort, transportation cost for COD & ect

No need earn single cent?

This matter is caused by the top-chain party

Intel - Asus(manufacturer) - Distributor - Reseller

Why the lowest chain have to bear all the cost? whistling.gif

No doubt, that your stand and my stand on this case is different.

You as the reseller will surely want to protect your own business and not inflicting loss on your own business due to manufacturer's mistake.

We as end users also will want to protect our own rights to this case, therefore conflicting opinion.

PS : Successful businessman (top chain) knows how to let others bear the suffering rather than them.  whistling.gif
*
You are consumer, I'm reseller, so we'll never have a same perspective smile.gif

So bold part, reseller won't allow that to happen flex.gif Unless they(upper-chain) compensate at least logistic cost. Until the day come, so we wait. Finger crossed for ASUS sweat.gif

QUOTE(billytong @ Mar 13 2011, 02:18 PM)
Too bad, buddy, thats how cruel the real world works. Infact I even think Asus "being" below Intel also have to bear some losses. As far as I know Intel ONLY cover the chipset losses, any logistic, refurbished losses seems to bear by Asus.  doh.gif

Even us as customer have loss our time, COD petrol with seller too.

it is an unfortunately event. but well for me the refund policy seems to be a good opportunity for me to gain Access to Z68, then I have more warranty than b4 since it resets.  biggrin.gif
*
It's an opportunity for you, yet still not a reality smile.gif Maybe a bit more time

Distributor? After looking at AssUs B3 fiasco, I also dunno who to trust anymore.

Main problem lies on distributor for IT industries in our country

if you pick a "bad egg", then too bad for you

Example, ZOTAC is indeed a good brand. Drop it last 2 years ago..... You know why whistling.gif

FSP = 2 different distributor, I'm dealing with the one which don't have any 'lalang" with Zotac

TEAM Elite = changed
