I Just switch my pc from amd platform to intel platform using sandy bridge. Is the new intel proc more energy efficient compared to amd?

I'm hoping it will reduce my room temp. Haha

that is also one of my concern when i am looking for new cpu
my ancient OC-ed e6320 could manage to heat my room to 35C during the afternoon while i doing stress test or gaming for long period.

i was thinking to pair a h67 with 2500k but found out that intel is a bloody vampire..
force those who need to oc to buy the expensive p67 board, even for those who only want to oc a little bit.. dam...

no wonder the price of 2500 and 2500k is so close

hope after the z chipset release the price of p67 will drop
