Anyone with LGA1155 having problems with their coolers? Mine will become lose every now and then and I have to keep pressing it back in spreading the thermal paste more now my cooling is getting less and less effective :/

What were you doing then? I get around 68-69C when I'm rendering 3D models and I thought that was worrying.

As of right now just browsing they're 53C.

I have to constantly monitor them because the cooler legs just LOVE to come out and I have to keep pressing them back or I'll get freaking 99C while rendering

Doing stress test - priming
generates lots of heat
max is 105c so 99c is not gonna kill this chip

Yeah Im aware of the 105C mark but wont continuously going to 99 reduce the lfiespan?

Is this a sign that my thermal paste needs to be changed? Recently been meddling with my cooler because it was loose, never read instruction properly.. Now I got it right, the temp hovers at 65C on idle(normally 50 or below). And once it gets hot on load, it wont go down after that...

I've been reseaing my coolr lately, so I have to replace the stock thermal paste. What's a good aftermarket thermal paste?

Is there anyway to get hands on stock intel thermal paste? Because as I've read, for stock cooler, stock thermal paste is the best.

Err guys with only Steam running in tray, no windows opened, my proc is running at around 25% usage.. i5-3550... Should it be like that? Or idle should be lower? I remember mine being quite low one sad.gif
