QUOTE(torino @ May 6 2012, 10:28 PM) QUOTE(Bellespiani @ May 7 2012, 02:06 AM) 3570KRM660 is the normal/correct price. It is not dropped but just "not jacked up" by irresposible retailers. One forumer even bought it for RM799 few weeks ago from the same shop. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=50586468 |

QUOTE(xEDynamics @ May 7 2012, 09:28 AM) SRP: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...roarchitecture)3770K usd313 3570K usd212 Basic calculation: 313/212 x RM660 = RM974 So 3770K for RM1070 is simply a hundred jacked up price. Mobo price is another shit. Asus Maximus V Gene RM900 in KL RM729 in Penang SRP RM650 OMG reason: still got many old stocks of Maximus IV & 2600K to clear. |

Asus vs others:
Asus has better BIOS & support than others. Stable/accurate voltages due to better voltage regulation, good default mem skews, various ram IC type support so that you could use any qualified rams designed for Z77. This post has been edited by owikh84: May 7 2012, 11:06 PM |

QUOTE(stasio @ May 10 2012, 02:10 PM) Cycom price list (09/05/2012) i7-3770k.........RM1010 I dont think it's possible here.http://www.cycom.com.my/images/pricelist/pricelist01.pdf Edit: On the end of May price will drop more as Owikh say, normal price is arround RM940-960. Look at the current price of 2700K. And different shop different price also. Eg. Afaik Idealtech is selling the i7 3820 for RM905. |

QUOTE(cybersans @ May 8 2012, 01:04 PM) yep, it already available if you know where to find. do not ask single/small reseller in this forum. they are slow (no offence) comparing to the already established shops @ lowyat plaza. i ask 2-3 persons in this forum about 3770k and their answer are stereotype: no stocks, bla bla, no stocks, bla bla, distributor still not sending inventories bla bla. the funny things are, they already put 3770k in their lists to answer your question, i bought @ compu-zone @ lowyat plaza last saturday. QUOTE(cybersans @ May 8 2012, 02:32 PM) next time, go to shops and buy. small retailers always get their stocks late because from the eye of distributors, this small retailers are not important, and give small profit. also has small amount of customers seriously? p/s: already enjoy playing with my z77+3770k. muahahahaha |

QUOTE(cybersans @ May 16 2012, 08:19 AM) you need until 3000MHz for ram bandwidth? what kind of apps/games that can speed up through the ram with that kind of speed? iGPU uses "shared" ram, so the faster the ram speed the faster the iGPU.anyway, congratulations to those who get their 3770k this week! rainfall are less nowadays, so don't overclock too much Dont get confused, ram speed is 3000MHz, whereas bandwidth is 24k Mbps. QUOTE(law1777 @ May 27 2012, 10:51 AM) anyway guys.. i have lesser research about processors nowadays. sandy or ivy both im not sure how they perform. anyway im using i5-750 now. gonna buy ocz vertex 4 and my platform is 1155 which clearly doesnt support sata3 6gbs. also getting an asus 680 top. will sandy b able to support? or straight get ivy + asus z77?? =) SB doesnt have PCIe 3.0 controlller so to get the 3.0 bandwidth you MUST go with an IB CPU + Z77 or P67/Z68 etc Gen3 mobo. |

QUOTE(law1777 @ May 27 2012, 11:07 AM) thanks for the clarification. btw pcie 3.0 vs pcie 2.0 performance is so minor only for gpu.. but for ssd i know there is a gap I'm not sure how people judge the minor difference but for me minor improvement is better than nothing. Yes, you will only see a significant difference between 3.0 vs 2.0 on 3-way & 4-way SLI/CFX @ high resolution like triple screen. |

The ram is still rated at 1.65v and wont require active cooling even when OCed it wont get that hot. Ram coolers are more like just for aesthetic look.

QUOTE The 16 PCI Express lanes supported by the Ivy Bridge can be split up in two or three groups: 8x+8x or 8x+4x+4x. The latter variant may be interesting for triple-GPU configurations especially as PCI Express 3.0 is quite capable of providing the required bandwidth even via 4 lanes. Source |

QUOTE(xanavi @ Jun 13 2012, 12:15 AM) Any Asus p8z68-v/gen3 owners with ivy bridge proc, or any tech savvy help me? I'm using that mobo with i7-3770K, when i boot it up, it powers up and then down, up and then down, and does that repeatedly, screen is blank..what am i supposed to do? Anyone had this same problem and resolved it pls let me know.. =\ reset the CMOSresit the RAM, swap between sticks If 2 sticks, make sure to put in the blue DIMM slot EDIT: seems like you have to update to the latest BIOS for mobo to accept Ivy. QUOTE(vaksin @ Jun 13 2012, 12:33 AM) Pls read the mobo manual, it should teach you how to flash the bios in UEFI mode or in AI Suite This post has been edited by owikh84: Jun 13 2012, 12:20 PM |
