Recently plan to make a new rig for a friend than I saw the new sandy bridge processor and saw this problem in this thread.

i have heard many people suggesting refund is possible. anyone actually did it with Viewnet in lowyat? mine is Gigabyte board.

Got mine replaced yesterday. Sadly Asus haven't ship the P8P67LE B3 Rev board to Msia yet, so the shop asked if I am okay to top up a bit of money for the better spec model that just landed here - Asus P8P67 B3 Rev, which I gladly agreed.

Went to Digital Mall over on Friday, C-zone got B3 boards for asus p8p67 and gigabyte quite a few of the models are B3 including the UD7 model. Those intending to purchase should not be afraid and just look for the b3 logo.

congratulations to those who already have/swap the P67 B3 revision. i think i will make a swap next week. or next month. or next year, since i don't care about those sata #2 - #5.

me too so far no news from asus yet, as the asus support hotline ppl suggest me to wait for their call before sending in for a refund.

yes go back to the shop u purchase and ask them for refund, if they dunno the issue just ask them call asus

you're making a right choice. there are several additional pheripherals on p8p67 which not included in LE. and more power phase compare to LE. if you don't want to use the extra pheripheral, just disable it in bios.

perhaps you want to try your luck to change with Z68? since iphone up there can swap to higher version, maybe you can try your luck.


asus clearly state in their website that they allow refund or swap. if the shop refuse it, ask them to call local asus office. if both refused, ask both of them to meet at some place, and you can slam their head together
