the capitalist gets a lot of everything.

alright, in the interest of the sartorial salvation of my landsmen, i shall put here a strong clue as to MBT's identity. No doubt there is someone who can identify him from the way he tacks buttons, or manipulates the sewing machine...

The lapels end too far down the front, parallel to the pockets. Throws off the proportion of the jacket.

For a 6x1, ok kot.

Also, the boutonnière, got only one on left lapel.
For a DB, usually seen on both lapels.

So for the following three aspects, balanced (not significantly lacking one at the expense of another), them being:

1. Overall quality
2. Price
3. Speed

Where would you reccommend as the better bet?  Thailand, Singapore, or KL?

+ chelsea boot & Bentley Blower...

Back to the matter at hand, to mine eyes, similar waisting & quarters with the Steed suit (probably a Pierre Cardin). If that floats your boat.

For about RM400, u can get a fused poly or mixedwool tailormade suit, at the tailors in Pudu Plaza.
Cheapest quote in recent times was about RM250 from a tailor in Port Dickson.
All prices include fabric.

These poly suits may not be Styleforum, AskAndy or LYN forum approved, but u may very well end up liking it and get a lot of use out of it until u decide to get a better suit.

Heck, even some branded RTW (eg Zegna) and SavileRow suits are fused...

If ur ever on holiday in Thailand or Vietnam, u might even get cheaper prices for suits comparable in quality & making to the fused tailored suits here.

p.s. was at Kamdar and saw horsehair canvassing on halflined Korean made suit jackets (old stock), on sale at less than RM100...huhu!

Which one is better depends on situation & where u plan to wear it.

With the 3/4 sleeve, can wear for clubbing or if your line of work allows non traditional clothes (eg in creative industry such as showbusiness, advertising etc). For obvious reasons, I doubt if u can wear it with a long sleeve dress shirt...only a short sleeve shirt or t-shirt..unless if u roll up your shirt sleeves..

With that Topman, u can wear it to a job interview, office, business meeting in a more formal work setting (eg banking, accounting etc) and even clubbing. Can pair it with long/short sleeves or tshirt.

So it depends...

I have an old fused suit jacket with bubbles galore.
Just for fun, i separated the fusing from the jacket fabric (pinched and pulled away inner fusing from the wool). Worked all the way from shoulder to the bottom edge of jacket including lapels.
No more bubbles!
Too bad i've "outgrown" the suit, or else it may still be wearable!
