use lacquer gold, spray everything. then use enamel black, spray on top covering everything. Then use a cotton bud, with a little enamel thinner, start wiping off the black enamel paint on where the gold color is. after wiping off all the black where gold should be, u will get very nice gold emboss.

Using acrylic or water base paint to do panel lining or weathering, the main problem is the surface tension of water. When u drop a drop of water onto a smoother surface, u will see the water doesnt spread out like oil, instead water will try to gather itself to form droplets. Imagine u paint a color onto the surface of the model, n the color doesnt stay n start forming droplets.
The detergent is mainly to break the surface tension.
