I stumble across Bosny while having a walk in ACE Hardware in IPC@Curve. Nearly the same price I guess. Did also tried Krylon camo. For RM30, I'd say a worthwhile bargain because bigger size than Tamiya spray can. And very flat. Just the way I like it.

not sure, you can try, spray can should be lacquer, so you spray already then use lacquer thinner to thin it

doing this is a waste of money and time, get a paint bottle instead

i agree with admuser.

However, somehow some japanese actually do that. i think it's because when the spray can is less than half, usually the air pressure is insufficient to have a nice spray, they spray out what ever they can to use. Besides that, after letting all the air out, they even use can opener to open the spray can. 1) for environmental purposes. 2) they can even pour out whatever reamin inside that wasn't being carried out by the air.

I was trying to save a few quid on paint bottle because I already got gold and chrome spray cans. Thank you for the head up.

This is my recently built spray booth

next step is to add in some LED lights to light up the internal because there is not enough light going into the box.

There are some paint sticking to the fans' blades, maybe need faster fans to prevent it.

Comments are welcome.

i see MrColor got the super clear coat, in paint bottle form, is it same as the clear coat spray can? i think i prefer paint more than spray

before this i mention that the top coat i spray got the frosting problem, so today i try to respray the part that got frosting, and it seems like the 2nd layer of clear coat able to cover it

after the frosting part dried, it is not white in color, but a very rough surface, when look under the light it look like some burn mark like a dirty spot, i'm not good in describing this and i dont have a good camera to capture the image

is it normal for frosting part to be like this after dried?

Hi peeps biggrin.gif Anyone knows how to mod an OVA MG Unicorn's leg for better articulation? I was thinking...articulate enough to make execute a Gundam crouch XD The less tedious and risky way the better smile.gif

here's something which would help you..

with mods, especially on improving articulation, i don't think there's a less risky way. you learn from mistakes, and that's how you grow and improve biggrin.gif all the best for your modes!

no pain no gain mate! all the best for the mods!

for nazrul90, that happens cos the paint is too thick and uneven. because it is a clear color, the effect of uneven painting is magnified.

when painting clear parts, a darker color is achieved when you put more coats down. that cos a thinner layer allows for more light to go past it. so when the paintjob is uneven, different amount of light goes past, thus your current problem. solution? strip it and do again. better if done with spray. handpaint clear is quite tricky.

it all depends la. a new bottle of paint can be used directly, but as the solvent evaporates, then you'll need to add thinner to make it less thick..

clear color, fluorescent, metallic, solid color are almost the same in terms of needing to thin or not.

what type of markers do you use for panel lining? Do you prefer water based or oil based markers?
