Yes, you're right. Totally agree with you. It's quite a significant investment.
I did not decide to buy VFF overnight. I have started running with those minimalist shoe made for water sports, where it doesn't have thick sole like normal running shoe.
Because of the thin sole, I had to change my running techniques and my shin splint pain actually starting to disappear gradually.
But I started getting blisters between my toes, because those water sport shoe wraps around your toes quite tightly.
So I finally decide to get VFF. Although its expensive it will be worth it for me as running is my primary form of exercise.
Because it is so expensive, I want to make sure that I will be getting the right model. That is why I like to know which store carries the most model for me to test it out.
Glad to see you been into running and know what's you are getting.
Bikila - specific design for running.
KSO - lot of runners use this before Bikila is born.
Now, Komondo - new improved model from KSO.
I have friend get the VFF from US store under RM300, as you know VFF did not ship outside USA, thus he using 3rd party forwarder services which uses US address and from there ship back to Msia.
It's up to individual on which channel to get VFF.
anyway, no comment on your mentioned stores in KL.
