You can get the Panny PT-AE 4000 for around RM6600. It's a great option for those who are "rainbow" sensitive.

This is very interesting. Where to get this? In Singapore, it's slightly below RM10K mark. I guess that this is a direct conversion by using US price hmm.gif

Yeah, I am waiting for him to let us know about it. Shall inform ar188 too about it since he is longing for one. Maybe we can do bulk purchase and save more.

For less than USD1.5k, I can only recommend Mitsubishi HC3800. Around USD1.2k. Although no iris, the native contrast is quite good near 2500:1. HD20 and Vivitek 1080FHD is entry level 1080p projector. Most reviewer would recommend top up a bit and get HC3800.

Of course it's the direct conversion of a US price. The OP said he's going to do a bulk buy from the US (that's not counting delivery to Malaysia). What the OP didn't say is at what price is he going to sell after his markup.

The 4000 will sell here for around RM11-12k, as usually the practice when there's a new model comes out. Unlike the previous models, the 4000's light bulb is specific to this model only.

Projectors are not subject to Malaysian tax so if you want to buy one from the US, just get a mail forwarding company to send it to you. The extra cost would still be lower than the authorized dealer price here.

Imported from US for US$999. Singapore has it but US still the cheapest. I'm a easy man to please. May be when 3D projector goes to main stream then consider changing. smile.gif
