QUOTE(egyprince @ Nov 3 2010, 08:47 PM) Ooo so if i buy myself some discounted headphone in amazon + tax + shipment = cheaper then Malaysia. Only downside is that the warranty is oversea. Is it reliable to buy from amazon or eBay? Which 1 better? Cheaper if no problem, become ridiculously expensive if got one.... QUOTE(Akabane@DrJackel @ Nov 3 2010, 10:49 PM) haha...once i saw the picture i already know it haha..this model box and the stock i still got left few....anyway is a good headphone...hurry up open lae.hehe I want to but currently still burning another set of headphone, so this have to sit 'diam2' and wait till the other one finishes its burning process which will in this weekend... What can I expect from the M50? I've read tons of posts, some of them say too digital, some say ok, some say less detail, some say boomy bass, some say no soundstage some say perfect spatial, some say after burn-in >100h can heat bass starts to calm down and its more accurate and punchy, some say no good for rock the other says its perfect, some say its ok for Piano n vocals, some say its mid is 'better' than 440 and also the 770, some say can fight with A700, some say even AKG 272 has the upper edge So what say u? |

QUOTE(Akabane@DrJackel @ Nov 4 2010, 12:44 AM) QUOTE i don't think is too digital. This headphone just nice balance headphone. good for recording user even listener.... I hope so...Btw, which headphone sounds too digital?? QUOTE But if you give me a choice i just pick AD700 due to comfortable.. Yap..i've tried the AD700 and the comfort level is just outstanding...not too clampy nor does it too loose...ngam ngam pressure from the 'little' wings clamp... QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Nov 4 2010, 03:08 AM) Got my M30 today.... Not as comfortable as I thought cause it does not cover my ears properly... Maybe my ears too big? LOL... M30 is more or less a basic platform where the M50 has become...M30 (according to some post at head-fi) is natural sounding compared to the enhanced highs and low of the M50....So what you get from the M30 is a good tonal balance where the M50 will have a signification increase of highs and low freq...what the M50 lacks (in most post regarding it) is the ability to deliver a good mid range but there are mods that can help increase the mids around 10% better with a compensation of 5% decrease in the lows...The music quite soft when I use it with MP3 player or iPhone... It's normal right due to it using more power? Haha.. Haven't had eargasm for such a long time!! The Bass is quite Ok, not as bassy as many ppl claimed... Well this is just base on few minutes test with my Samsung S5 Mp3 player.. will test it with others later... Added on November 4, 2010, 3:28 amIt doesn't perform as good on the laptop... limitations of laptop soundcard I guess... R&B songs are like urghhh... Still waiting for the e5 to come! Hopefully can have fireworks between these both gadgets LOL... |

QUOTE(eugenechiuu @ Nov 4 2010, 09:25 AM) I don't think a DACs job is to improve sound quality, BUT a basic DAC will definitely not be so good in converting all those 0101010010101010 to analog which you may loose some details which make the song sound boring...Another way to look at it is by actually taking a DAC job and imagine that it is a graphics card....a cheap card can display decent output but will struggle at high resolution with 3D while a Quadfire HD5970 will indeed smoothen things out even at 5000 resolution....The same goes for a DAC...A normal one might not play 192kHz 24bit audio or it might skip some details during playback... This is why there a DAC which is cheap and there is those car prices like DAC |

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Nov 5 2010, 09:40 PM) Hi all the sifus here, am planning to get a pair of ATH M30 headphones.. are these cans good? Most of the songs i listen are R&B. Thanks Why is it I fell that I replied to this question already? If you can stand 'bland' in your ear type of sound, then its perfect for your budget... QUOTE(aztoiozalan @ Nov 5 2010, 11:02 PM) owh....bro akabane i see u r sellig ATs products..hehehe...AD300 n pro5 m d army wan rite...army y cheaper than Ad300.... i see m50 is not open..its closed rite Again..the Pro5MS would be perfect if you can stand 'bland' in your ears type of sound...The AD300 is what you should get if you want to obtain a relaxing listening session of high quality ripped music...M50 is not open, and like the Pro5MS or the M30, is targeted towards studio ppl.. QUOTE(santik @ Nov 6 2010, 10:02 PM) The less wide soundstage makes listening a bit of 'stress' with these headphone if you are talking of using it during leisure hours listening songs that is supposed to let you relax and enjoy the 'ambiance'...Studio ppl don't relax because they are doing their job of making sure you will able to listen to high quality audio reproduction/recordings via your Ipod/Hifi/computer... If they skimp during the recording/mastering process, even a 30k amplifier with a HD800 also can't provide you with the best sound... QUOTE(aztoiozalan @ Nov 7 2010, 08:13 PM) not at the moment..nxt month ..hehe...by then i dunno how am i gonna look for it..lol.. You sure you want to dump it all on a pair of closed full size???Why not you try and indulge yourself on a pair of good open air cans, then only you reconsider getting a Studio closed back design headphone...Unless you are talking about closed back Woodies, then its a different story... nor got ngam3 rm 340 for shroom eb n recabled ksc 75 this one oso letgo my shp2700 adi...thats y..wanna look for closed fullsized cans back nxt month..hehehe..im working part time sushi this week strt..LOL This post has been edited by antonio: Nov 8 2010, 05:15 AM |

QUOTE(1st @ Jan 25 2011, 02:34 PM) hi all audio technica fans, T500!!!! I would like to recommend the AD300 since you mention trance, rnb and house, AD300 seems to be not the right choice...M35 or T500 im planning to get a earphone, can anybody point me at the right direction? my budget is around 300, was thinking of getting a earphone + cheap n good headphone amp. would it be possible to fit into RM300? mainly i listen to old school 80s, R&B, some trance and some house mix. so i would prefer a abit bassy earphone at the same time a balance treble. i tried my friends audio technica headphone, not sure which model but he said it was Rm700, the sound balance was supreb, but i dont like headphones as its not convenient for me to bring to work. earphone would be just nice, plus my common sense tells me that earphone is in-ear, sound insulation >9000. can please recommend me? headphone/earphone newbie here, car audio SQ i know, but this is a new thing to me =p thanks~ QUOTE(soulone @ Jan 25 2011, 11:38 PM) i'm more concerned with the Hehehehe...probably...who knows "No holes.....yet got any immediate improvement plan ka ? hehe .. Akabane!!!
add me ![]() First impression out of the box; -How do you wear it correctly? The earpads has a slop towards inside of the driver and variable positioning is possible. -Do you wear it lower or high (the cups position alignment with the ear) -AT signature sound nevertheless....Very good wth live music with strings and horns... QUOTE(DaEMoNteNTAcLe @ Feb 11 2011, 04:11 PM) cant help to think u have fetish for AT 5 series.. haha.. well just find a comfortable position that gives good imaging (left right up down front back).. try watching racing movie or something. AD series / woodies driver are all angled, so that sound is projected properly to the ear and give good imaging and soundstage, something AT and senns have been doing since forever.. took beyer quite some time to realize and put it on their t1. |
