agree totally. had an ad700 for 2 months before i sold it to yen262, who in turn kept it for about 2-3 months before selling it. don't get me wrong, the ad700 is a fantastic can. BUT due to the existance of "evil" people in this forum (u know who u are ), you will get poisoned into upgrading in no time. every upgrade costs $$$ (u lose a bit when selling too). might as well save up a bit more (be a little patient) and get your dream can.

just a little advice from someone who suffered from "upgraditis" and blind buying

sure, would love to do a serious try on ur esw9.. i always thought of it as the most natural sounding woody.. too bad jaben sold off their last unit.

music is not a constant noise, its dynamic. it has variation.. it goes really high, and really low.

there are some reports saying that using noise to burnin stress the driver a lot, in which i would agree, since it always force the driver to continuously produce all frequency range at the same time. some also reported a broken driver due to using noise for burnin. while i dont know whether it's valid or not, i dont want to take the risk.

well take it this way.. a seasoned sofa, that people always sits and gets off, would retain it's shape even after few years, but becomes softer. but if u put a rock on the sofa for sometime, the sofa would have a permanent shape of the rock on the sofa, and the shape would retain even after quite sometime.

now since the noise are almost constant.. it can be considered like a solid rock in the example above.

i burn strictly using music, and my headphone have passed 2000hr, my woody2 have passed 1400hr.. with no problem whatsoever. i believe the variation in music is more needed to smoothen the drivers..

Hm... I have ESW9 for quite a while so I guess around 1K? Not sure if there is much improvement after 500 mark though.
Is it? hehe... to me it is a musical and fun headphone, that is why I like to use it when not really into critical listening (that one I use 650). ESW9 have these tube-like sound I can't get from other headphones I have and it's portable to boot.

Thing is I tried ESW10 before.. but still somehow prefer the tube like ESW9 for me hehe...

Temporary owning AD 300.
Just wanna give some brief comments bout it.

Basically,it plays instrumental music very well.
It can handle Celion Dion and Kenny G so good that I think it's really worth the price.
But then I tested on Jacky Cheung on onboard audio,the vocal goes to background,probably it needs a better source?
Heavy bass tracks is a no no for this headphone.
I felt irritated after listening a very very short while to some modern songs that contain bass.
Boom until headache.
But the performance of bass is not that well for "Transformers" movie.
Can't still give the impact.
Overall,it still quite good for its price,even for the retail price.

not burned enuff... i think.
the bass takes time to cleanup.
unless u prefer bass lite.. i find the bass just nice in quantity on ad300
