911 is not natural disaster, how can mix? 2012 is so close and wonderful if nothing happens , I wonder what will the believers think after that. Also if another big disaster strike just before that is going to scare a lot of people too.

Wasn't the Mayan who indicate 2012 as end of the world but end of their calender, check your digital watch or handphone and see how long they can lasts? Try change the date to year 3000 to 5000. Most electronics has maximum date setting and the previous y2k suppose to be end of computer calender but the computer didn't die.

If the earth's destruction is set, something told the Mayan but not others, why tell the Mayan? So that they don't continue to populate?

whatever claims by a marketing agent/media might not be 100% true. media is always driven by controversies and unproven facts since they sound mysterious and attractive.

great claims need great proves.
tsunamis and earthquakes of the Japan magnitude is rare. earthquakes are just the work of nature, due to the shift of the tectonic plates.
either sides can't be 100% sure that 2012 will be end of days. biblical predictions of end of worlds had been disproved in the past; many predictions on the end of days in the past has been false, and most likely the next prediction in 2012 will be false.

Yes, nothing is permanent. The earth will die off some day. More likely the end of days will be man-made rather than "God"-made at this pace.
It's more important to start taking care of our mother earth so that it will remain inhabitable to us.

The thought of the end of world is coming is somewhat negative. Fanatics who totally believe in it might do unthinkable acts and harm himself and the public. I rather not see people popularising the idea of the end of world is coming in year 2012.

The bible says that before the end of the age there will be signs and wonders that take place.

I believe what the Bible says will happen although I am not sure about the time as it doesn't specify.

But I feel it's very near.  Please pray to God to protect us

But in overall, the earth is going to be perfectly fine. And, we can still see 2013.
