QUOTE(fifi85 @ Sep 14 2010, 10:24 AM) One of the few people who first discovered the bible code actually did predict the future. He predicted the assassination of the israeli president b4 it happened using the bible code and warned them. But they just brush if off as a joke and it really happened. They did mention in the video not sure part 4 or 5. The name, place, event were found in one of the pages in the bible all the words being near each other. What makes you think the 'bible' itself is not flawed? Remember that the gospels compiled were done selectively and many 'other' gospels were omitted by the authorities.

Other than Gospel of the Hebrews ? This post has been edited by daccorn: Sep 17 2010, 11:56 AM

When you use collected data to conclude a result, it is science. When you predetermine a result and then pick and choose the data you want to justify the result, then it is religion.
And that is why the world will not end in 2012.

I was told or taught that there are currently 3 theories regarding the upcoming 2012. 1st theory: scientists predicted that the world is coming to an end in 2012, doomsday. 2nd theory: nothing is going to happen to our world as the earth itself has the ability to 'fix' the disasters, so dont worry 3rd theory: something(disaster) is going to happen in 2012 but it's not the end, be prepared... i learnt that the world 'kiamat' refers to kebangkitan so it's not doomsday but something that will make us awake from our current activities....

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Apr 19 2010, 05:45 PM) Religious person actually worries about material ownership (car) in times of impending doom? I thought the most religious people ppl actually LOVES doomsday and will always hang this topic on their lips (remind others often its coming its coming please repent please repent!). Maybe they wanted to be quickly Judged rather to live a moment longer on this sinful and corrupted world.Second that. I believe in judgement day, but I don't believe or I can't be certain that it's going to be 2012. According to the Bible, it'll come at the hour most unexpected. So it could be the next hour or the next 100 years, NO ONE can predict it.

I thought the doomsday thing is to remind people to behave than its actually going to happen, sort of like you better believe in god while alive than to receive judgement after death.

QUOTE(abubin @ Apr 19 2010, 02:48 PM) So, what do you guys think? Do you really believe in 2012 or end of the world is coming? Or some major catastrophe is nearing? I'll wait for year 2012 to come. I'll be doing my usual stuff while waiting for it. Eh, what's for dinner tonight, huh? Regards, Joey

After the date if nothing happens, it will teach a lot of people a great lesson, if it does happen, then our fate is predestined and no point live either.

By the rate we are killing earth and ourselves, I can say yes we are gonna be wiped out from the face of the earth. I blame the so called " Advance" countries for creating weapons of mass destruction, nuclear waste, polution and etc. Look what BP did to our waters. Russia with the Chernobyl incident. Malaysia with our garbage rivers. Humans are the worst enemy of the earth.

I don't believe in the Bible, but I still think there should be signs to it. It's still all right in this 2010, and we're very near to 2012 already.
So mayan's predictions = hoax.
