The original was never unstable. Only the pirated ones.

Francis has some pretty awesome lines in the comic... I'm hoping they chuck them into the game proper.

It was already hinted that the immune are actually carriers (Based on the radio chatter just before the Bridge finale in L4D2), but I don't think anyone has actually proven the connection. So, they're just being cautious.

IMO, This installment is fairly weaker than the first 2 (Feels kinda short and Francis' backstory is kinda meh), but it does set it up nicely for Bill's big finale next week.

Only L4D2 man. The first one just had a pump action shotty and auto-shotty. L4D2 has two of each kind (One of which is a SPAS 12)

Yeap, together with the final installment for the comic.

I would only ever recommend going back to L4D from L4D2 if you want to play the campaigns (Which are still really good), but since No Mercy got ported to L4D2, they might port the rest as well, so best not waste money.

Well, you won't get infected if they manage to attack you, so its not like the game is super hard because of it.
