Hey guys I'm going for the "Kite like a man" achievements and I would appreciate if I can get some help here. It's hard to tell a random online players or bot to "not shoot the tank".

Hi guys, my friend just bought a new PC with windows 7 yesterday. He installed L4D via CD and installed steam as well as update the game/steam. When everything is done, he click play and they said launching L4D2. After that the screen goes black for 2 seconds and went back to the desktop. The game didn't start at all. So what is wrong. Any idea?

In Steam, right click on Left 4 Dead 2 and choose "Properties". Then choose the "Local Files" tab and click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache ...". Let it do its work. After that it might say that some files weren't authorized properly or something and it will re-download those files. Let steam do just that. After it has completed, your friend should be able to play L4D2 fine.

Try to update the VGA driver. Can simply download the latest version from ATI or nVidia website.

its awesome news, but somehow i can't help but think its a precursor to telling us all about l4d3. just over 2 months from the last sale its on an even bigger sale again.

If there's an L4D3, I probably wait till sales this time.

Guys, how to find servers and sort by ping? i see very few servers, and all with very high pings.

save your searching... just join the e-club steam community group and the many list of dedicated server will be shown to you automatically on the game main menu.

I just joined the Steam e-Club group, but I dont see any of their servers. How do you usually search for servers? I tried using the openserverbrowser command, since that lists everything and sorts them by ping, but there are zero servers under 'Internet', while there are about 5000 servers under custom, though most of them are empty. Why are there no servers under 'Internet'?

Btw, the font looks really jagged in the server browser. What's up with that?
