issit possible for me to register a new RM88/4mbps line (since canot upgrade liao), on the same number as my 1mbps?, den when the 4mb line lai liao, den only i cancel the 1mbps account? anyone have any idea?
im staying near jonker walk, duno got line or not.

i registered on last saturday, (19/6/2010), and they came today to check on the 4mbps availability.
im surprised.

bro, can upgrade if your contract alrd expire.
i upgraded.
but same price lar if u upgrade or new package. RM88 also.
Try to ask again, if they say can upgrade, the upgrading will be done simultaneously. noneed termination and all. they terus change your port from the server to 4mbps port.

What is needed to confirm is u need them to go ur hse check whether ur line got access to 4mbps anot. After that onli can upgrade.

Yeah gajah berang. apparently the service quite fast. or maybe cause i stay like 5mins drive from the tmpoint.

Added on June 21, 2010, 2:52 pmnick: if u go to tmpoint and they check with their PC and said not supported, just said u wan to proceed and ask them send technician manually to ur place and test ur line.. sometime their PC said canot, but go house d can..

i haven upgrade, i js register last saturday den the guy came to check for my house line today. apparently my currrent streamyx number canot detect 4mbps, lucky i have 2nd line at home, that line can get 4mbps, mayb i register under that number. Speed is uncertain. Some ppl say they use 4mbps, the speed is slower than 1mbps at times. Depends the signal and so on...

RM88 is forever price i guess. Cause this package is subsidized by Malacca government. Thats why the application letter got our Melaka Logo(Jata Negeri). Our govt. so rich, subsidize abit to let ppl like us happy ! probably to gain vote in the next GE? who knows lol.

Next step is i need to go register again this package to another number..

so is ur connection changed to 4m already neural?

mine already technician come check but after 1 week still never come and do for me.. sian...

neural: already hve the technician number, but the technician said he don have instruction to come my house do yet..
previously some problem with line registration, now is all been fixed, but still no news.. it only takes awhile for him toupgrade right?
how much did u cap ur 4mbps?

uni pack needs around 1 month to process upon application. my fren aso waited around 3weeks-1month den the man come pasang..

Added on July 12, 2010, 10:40 ami went to TMpoint and they said, they canot do any upgrade or installation at the moment for 4mb, cause the MDS server is down or something, so the 4mb port canot open.. lets see how the progres this week..

js called few days ago.. server still down..

i requested for higher cap when he come to fix, but he said if put high cap, my attenuation will not stable.. so i better stay with 4mb cap.. as long is faster than 1mb can already =P

they can increase cap on their side right? so its not illegal la to ask them to increase to 5mbps..

u upgrade also will gone ip.. mine last time get 60.x.x or 218..
after upgrade become 175.. lol

go upgrade to 88 melaka package le.
but u must make sure ur contract end liao. if not have to pay penalty maybe around 500-600 if u want to terminate.

when i go speedtest.net im also getting around the same which is 3.2-3.3mbps. My line is capped at upstream 4095 and downstream 512. I guess its normal as they assure that you'll get 70-80% of 4mb which is approx. 3.2mbits.

If you cap higher you could reach better downstream for sure, but you need to ask the technician that set your account to do for you, which most likely he wont do. Reason is line will be unstable if he cap at 5mbits.
Very vague, but im happy enough with the connection rite now.

However, i realise theres a throttle still when downloading movie files.

should be for sometime.. hehe subsidize by malacca government! =)
