Yes, obviously you need a TCCD with 3000+. Multiplier 9, I just hate it the most. It's no go with BH5. I mean, typical BH5 will do 250 2-2-2-5. But 250 x 9 is only 2.25 GHz. A64 series as far as memory is concerned greatly benefited from proc clock speed.

why cannot 300x9 with divider 5/6 ? and we will get 250 too.

Generally, 9x multi limits d alternatives of ram, while 10x or above multi give betta options... smile.gif

Personally, 10x is d one i luv most... biggrin.gif

geez ya.. 9x sure need ram that capabale in higher speed.. to keep maintain in 1:1 divider.. most of the ram if higher mhz == loose timing.. not "kaww" ler.. biggrin.gif

guyz... just tested out my x2 3800+ can do 2.5ghz at stock volt... this is considered normal for a decent OC?

Help me to check whether the temp is ok or not, It shows around 50C load in Asus monitor.
If i pump the volt to 1.4, can hit 2.6ghz easily.

AFAIK, asus temperature monitor need to + 5 C . So it would be 55C load for 2.5ghz sweat.gif . Should i lower the clock a bit ? or its alrgiht for this temp.

Anyway,i m running a 166mhz 5:6 divider. Ram is at 208mhz now.

Since i m using a Value Select ram, is it possible for my ram to hit around 240mhz? I hav the feeling of wanna do 9X multiplier .Besides, I m having problem of burning MemTest into bootable CD. doh.gif

It is already 2006, so AMD64/Sempron OC Database clean-up will be done tonight, expect some new database posting requirements later on.

QUOTE
Benchable and Bootable results will be eliminated from the database ranking, however discussion is still possible. New ranking somehow will be based on prime stable results only.

QUOTE
Ranking will still be based on the highest clockspeed.

QUOTE
Database will be divided into 3 categories which are socket-939 (Athlon64, Athlon64 FX, Opteron), socket-939 X2 (dual cores) and socket-754 (Athlon64, Sempron, Turion & mobile Athlon64/Sempron).

QUOTE
Ranking format will be overclocked speed - user - cpu type - cpu stepping - cpu voltage - cooling method (air/water/etc)

Example:

1. 2911MHz | HornyGuy | Athlon64 X2 3800+ | CDBHE 0527UPAW | 1.60V | WATER
2. 2800MHz | I-luv-frogs | Athlon64 X2 3800+ | CDBHE 0528EPAW | 1.52V | AIR
3. ....
4. ....

Ranking list will be linked to result posting. Please provide necessary informations in your posting for reference and discussion use.

hehe very short run indeed. You might need to run at least 2 loops in order to prove that it is stable at that speed with the voltage given.
