guys.. i need help..

my next system gonna be..

Venice 3000+
2x256mb Kingston HyperX PC3200 BH5
DFI LP NF4-D / DFI NF4 DAGF

i'm thinking of these settings.. rolleyes.gif

HTT = 300mhz
HT Freq = 3x
Multiplier = 9x
Set Memory Divider = DDR 333
Vdimm = 3.2V ( my BH5 can do DDR500 @ 3.1V )

the result would be.. rolleyes.gif

CPU Speed = 300 x 9 = 2700mhz
Memory Speed = DDR 500 @ 300 HTT (using divider)

1. is there any known issues when running BH5 + NF4 + dividers ?

2. does my calculation on divider correct ?

3. which board should i go DAGF = RM 380 or NF4-D = RM 560 ?

is it worth to add another RM 180 for NF4-D rolleyes.gif

// dinster :

1. yes bh-5 can run well on nf-4 board
2. yes it correct 300*5/6 = 250MHz
3. go for ultra-d, its worth it... can mod into SLI-D anytime =)

1. no issues running divider

2. ur ram will be at 245mhz not 250mhz.. (use A64 helper to calculate)

edit : link http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/show...ad.php?t=149717

3. if u can afford the NF4-D go for it.. DAGF don't have the 4v jumper.. so u won't be able to go past 3.2v unless u have a booster or a psu with adjustable rails.. both won't have SATAII .. but if i'm not mistaken u need to connect 2 bridges to enable sata II and NCQ

me say go DFI NF4-D

@ babyelf @ Evogenix

okay.. sorry but..

i do not need SLI, NCQ, 4.0 Vdimm and Sata 2

3.2 vdimm is enough for me..

so.. in my case.. should i go for DAGF ?

me really really have to minimise the cost.. rolleyes.gif

DFI DAGF is a good choice considering you are not going for SLI setup. If you are really on a budget, you don't need bling stuffs IMO. Furthermore you've mentioned that the RAM is capable of pulling impressive figures at 3.2v. But I ask most of the shop at LYP, they are not selling DAGF. Personally dinster, DAGF is a good choice, in fact perhaps I should be getting one. My NEO2 is just too old. sad.gif
