I read ur post at DFI forum, and i feel sorry for u.. Imagine having the board for just couple of days... Seems like DFI is not that good handlng RMA;s these days.. If im not mistaken, the missing pin was not ur fault right.. Even if it is, I think u still entitled to warranty--its just minor defect that shows some poor build quality of the board...
And u r not newbies, and i believe u know ur stuffs--so its rather impossible to make defects of the dimm slot..
Well, hopefully everything going well...mate

how possible is it to have do such defect by the user...i've already taking out the sticks so many time and putting the stick under xp120 is damn hard...have to wrestle it...but still no problem to the pin or board what... it is IMPOSSIBLE for any person who is just inserting a ram stick to make such defect...this one must have passed the QC (done randomly) and they (DFI) wouldnt want to confess to their negligence...

Thanks for your concern guys. I guess i'm one of the unlucky ones to receive a motherboard like this. What annoys me the most is its electronics and problems like these surface every once in awhile. They should simply remedy it by offering a replacement without having to go through so much trouble.
At least for now it seems AG agrees with me and has consulted his boss regarding this issue. Hopefully they can elevate this matter to DFI Taiwan and change some of their policies in other regions. DFI USA's RMA is pretty fast and efficient in handling such things. There's no reason why other regions can't be just as eficient too.
Oh well, this issue has been delaying my SLI rig. Currently my CAA2C, UTT ram, OCZ 600W and water cooling setup is all collecting dust. If I have to purchase a new mobo I don't think I can afford to go for a SLI setup anymore due to unplanned financial setbacks.

Thanks for the support over at dfi-street remysix . Hopefully that would speed up the process for RMA if its approve or perhaps influence the decision makers to change their mind. As for my other parts, I won't be selling any of them at all . Especially not my CAA2C when its only got 2-3 days of workout hehe! I am planning to sell the motherboard though if RMA is not approved so I can cut my losses. From there only I can decide my next step.
