QUOTE(soulfly @ Apr 5 2005, 10:09 PM) There's a new Palermo based on E3 revision, which is Venice that one can take quite awhile to reach our shores bro, unless someone make a bulk but then again, it'll probably be sold out early coz seems everyone's itching to get them maybe get a turion

well this one is a bit hard to expect, but most probably the price should be almost the same or a bit more than current processor now...
since ur going for s754, choices for waiting can either be palermo(sempron) or mobile athlon (turion)... but most probablt turion will be a bit herder to obtain locally, so best bet is palermo..
if don't wanna wait, then a bit hard to say the steppin... but after 0447 should suffice and give good results IMO

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 13 2005, 03:48 PM) Not really that good with the stock fan...it's at least 8C higher at the same vcore/speeds. Had to ghetto mount the Delta and this was done at an intake temp (probe near the cpu fan's intake) of 18C. Totally whack the aircon until the lowest reached temps. but still, it's gotta quiute cool there to get that kinda temps. wat's the ambient temp room there?? i still have a long way to go to migrate to s939

guys i have a problem and i need some opinions. currently i'm at 8*300 vcore 1.678V vdimm 3.0V.
at first at the settings above i could get stable at 1.65V. then after a few weeks my system got unstable to the point where my programs were terminated and get random reboots. so i increased my vcore a notch then everything was fine. now yesterday it acted up again, getting crashes and random reboots. so now i'm forced to raise the vcore another notch...
i wonder wat's wrong?? any of u guys have encountered this kind of problem??

i'm beginning to feel that my psu is the problem. before this i mod the psu so could supply high 3.3V rail. now that i've pulled down, probably it's beginning to destabiliza but measuring the rails seems nothing is wrong with it... and that's with a multimeter. rams, hdd, virus and heat seems impossible coz tried overnite memtest and no problems, temps never go above 44C, had ghosted to virgin installation.... nothing works it seems i mite have to find another good psu

yes be careful of ur processor, don't push vcore too much it seems i've pushed mine too far, sent my rig to robyncom for checking and initial checking found out that my proc could be the culprit oh man, dtr isn't that easy to find around here

well at first i o'c at settings 8*300 wit vcore 1.65V and vdimm 3.0V. then a few weeks ago i got program crashes, thought it was the vcore so i increased some more. the i again got problems with crashes... the increase vcore some more, still no dice. then i pull back to stock, that's where the nitemare starts i couldn't get into windows at all, even with fresh installation of windows. so i sent my rig for checking at robyncom. they said the cause was from too much as5 that it got onto the surface of my proc, making some contact on the smd... then problem solved so brought back. then i noticed it was running at 4*200 at vcore 1.0V.... i remembered that when u put dtr on default it will run at those settings. so i pushed vcore to 1.5V and 9*200 and got the same thing bsod as before... that's y i wanna borrow a proc so i can really confirm its my dtr that's gone to the grave

problem is i don't know anyone nearby who uses s754 some more, my proc prob only work with modded bios'ed dfi 250gb only coz there's a 3 cycle wait to initialize dtr... so in other words, the rig mite or mite not boot up so in other words, I need to borrow someone else's proc
