well this one is a bit hard to expect, but most probably the price should be almost the same or a bit more than current processor now...

since ur going for s754, choices for waiting can either be palermo(sempron) or mobile athlon (turion)... but most probablt turion will be a bit herder to obtain locally, so best bet is palermo..

if don't wanna wait, then a bit hard to say the steppin... but after 0447 should suffice and give good results IMO

Winnie 3000+ 2.5Ghz (278*9) @ 1.7V - Stock Cooling.

Now using Cool & Quiet:
Idle = 1.3Ghz (278*5) @ 1.2V
Load = 2.5Ghz (278*9) @ 1.6V

Prime Stable Voltage:
With Cool & Quiet - 1.6V
W/out Cool & Quiet - 1.7V

Notice the RAM frequency difference between idle (231) and load (227).

Weird, right?

it's a feature which slows down your cpu by lowering the multiplier & voltage during light cpu load.
