some prob here... was running 2x 1GB at 240Mhz then swapped 2x512MB to do some testing.. after swapping the 2x1GB back... now slot 2 seems to be dead... so using slot 3 & 4 now.. but cant do 240Mhz anymore...... only 220Mhz now.. sys spec as in sig

tried CMOS clearing, start/restart 10x times... still at 220Mhz

Hi. Have you tried switching the rams in the same slots? And also, might consider the trick here
Good luck....

if rams in slot 1 n 2 only 1GB is detected.. switched the ram sticks around and still the same.. 1GB detected during BIOS mem check... so now using slot 3 n 4. So the rams arent faulty or anything... but then again i cant do 240Mhz anymore....

Could be the slots there. Best work at 1 & 2 (purple, green) so try booting with 1 stick at slot 1 first, after that try the second stick. If it succeeded, try putting both in.... GLuck

just found out the cause.. one of the pins in slot 2 somehow bended.. i have no idea how it got bended by just changing rams.... sigh.. and slot 3 n 4 is not that good... as reported by other users as well.. guess i'm now stuck at 225x9.

guys...i m very new to overclocking with AMD...so here r my screenies...any comments?

i found out that when i m using only 1 x 512mb RAM,the timings for super pi is much less slower than timing when i use 2x512mb...

currently using air cooling..with xp120...n using only a stick of 512mb RAM(mine is nforce 3..only single channel) with 3.1 volt..thats d max from my mother board...

n using 1200rpm fan only...n my rig is very quiet...so any comments?

can make it into the top ten?socket754... wink.gif

every comment will b deeply appreciated...

Yeah, I have to work on those. I don't even know how stable it is at 2.76GHz. Using stock AMD cooler.

A question: How high can Corsair XMS CMX512-3200C2 Rev 6.1 be pushed? I've gotten up to 3.0V, worried to go any higher. Can't boot into Windows XP properly with DDR above 230MHz.

*sigh* Need better cooling.

noobs here.... i oced my system to 2160mhz and it was quite stable where i could run prime test for 2 hours... so i start cranking 100mhz more and then my computer goes crazy, so i clear the cmos but start from this whenever i adjust the cpu htt,it seems that my system was not stable anymore and i could just tweaked the fsb using clockgen

sorry for this troublesome anyway..really need help(i know i used a kapcai psu but i was not hoping to reach sky high oc...just wanna touch 22xx with high htt sweat.gif sweat.gif

2 important and simple steps :

- lower your HTT/LDT multiplier (should be 5X default, set it to 4 or 3)
- lower your rams/fsb multiplier (set it to 166 or 133)

the options might be called something else on your mobo though
