Then it's Liverpool v Chelsea and City hosting Villa and Spurs hosting Bolton. Mind you, Spurs and City still have to play each other once. Depending on how things go, United could hand Liverpool 4th while Liverpool could hand United #19th.

Of course it's from a United perspective. I think it's brilliantly poised and it's easily one of the most exciting finishes in recent years considering not only how close the title race is (could be down to the wire) but also how close the race for forth is. I'd rather have a tight forth place race than a relegation dogfight.

I wouldn't begrudge Liverpool if they did so (bend over sideways) but if they had a chance of getting forth and still did it....

By the end of the week it could very well be Played 36 Points 62. They would still have played one game more than Spurs and City but assuming results go favorably at City v Spurs (draw?), Liverpool could still get forth. An outside chance I know but to bend over to deny yourselves a chance.

And I'm sorry, I'd rather exit R16 of CL than play in the final of Europa League.

Who needs Liverpool to take 3 points?

I can only hope Villa and Everton bite on Liverpool's arses and make it difficult for them, forcing them to need a result.

Believe it or not, I think it's destined to be Liverpool giftwrapping #19 for us. I'll remember that day with joy.
