hey guys just wanna ask, if Liverpool manages to win the Europa cup this season, will they automatically qualify for the cup match next season? coz one of my Kop friend said liverpool wont help Man Utd by beating/draw Chelsea coz they will win the cup and dont need to care for the ranking in the league....

no such thing. I posted the rules and regulations above.
*
thanks for the clarification smile.gif

then i really hope that West Ham can do some damage to them tonight, and they will really feel the pressure (Everton just 2 points behind them) and unless they really throw away their pride, their income, then they will fight Chelsea to the death

to me Moyes did well, maybe not good as SAF, but he manage to be consistent with Everton, i mean look at the team, they always to be in the middle top club. given limited fund and unknown players he success there.
*
ya, he got the talent, but what i mean is how he will handle all the Big Stars in United, all their demands, complains, antics....etc

eer...why not the assistant manager now? Mike Phelan...I know he is not at glamorous but certainly someone who knows the workings of United....
*
well although he does follows SAF all these years and had definitely learned from him, but one thing still stands, listening and observing is nothing compare to doing it yourself, yes, he may know when to sub the player, plot the tactics, but when all the decisions making, pressure falls on his shoulder, we dont know whether he is capable to handle, to change accordingly to the situation....he needs some experience as a manager somewhere first before even considering coaching Man Utd...the club's stature simply wont allow a rookie manager to take his time to learn

waaa last couple of pages all about replacement....you guys do realize that the gaffer hast said any thing about retiring yet and all this news is just pure 200% rumor and always taken out of context since we are in  that "silly season time" as fergie indicated in his friday press conference last week.

anywho  im not implying dont discuss it or what not just saying that the old scott still has a few years under him and when he calls it a day we all will know who he has in mind to take over smile.gif
*
ya he didn't mention the date himself but bear in mind, he will retire one day, so i think its just a discussion any way....like "which player you'd like to see SAF buy next season" type of discussion, only that the date column is left blank biggrin.gif

QUOTE(sheng @ Apr 24 2010, 01:17 AM)
so the last time a transfer happened between us and pool were 1964?
interesting.
have we ever bought any players from real madrid in recent times?
it seems they bought alot of players from us i.e. ruud, beckham, ronaldo.
*
we're still chasing championships even after they "pancing" several of our important players, and yet they still struggle to win.....

speaking of crossing the border between rivals, Paul Ince did played for both Pool and United, only that he went to Inter first before being sold back to Liv

QUOTE(yhtan @ Apr 24 2010, 10:51 PM)
depends on either
Goals scored the most or head to head result
*
well we are down in all the tie breaker

goal difference

United +53
Chelsea +54

goal scored

United 81
Chelsea 86

head to head....Chelsea won both matches...

so we need point difference now, hopefully Stoke can do us a favour....not sure Pool will keep their pride though...

well if we win the league we will achieve the historical 4 in a row, but if we are to finish in second place its still a good performance considering the "disaster" we face (injury crisis + loosing Ron and Tevez)....
