trancend Class 6 8GB - RM75@lowyat bought last week xD
Free space : 4.68GB write speed - 8MB/s read speed 6MB/s
class unknown
does it has sumthin to do with free space? perhaps yes, perhaps no.. maybe it would be easier to write with less free space as so many empty areas..

Desire user here but i wanna ask from android sifus here xD. The nexus one have that lock seal image on boot on each device is it? Cuz ive just saw it on the vid snapdragon vs omap vs hummingbird booting.. i saw that there is a padlock on the nexus one. Does every single nexus one have it? And does the desire have it somewhere(in case anyone here tried)? Thanks in advance

QUOTE(cleave @ Jul 22 2010, 02:48 AM) Yes, all N1 have them (except for the rare holiday N1). I dont think Desires have them because Desire's bootloaders are not meant to be unlocked by the users. That's why you have that step to check what HBOOT version you have when you want to root a Desire. The version of HBOOT will then determine your next step in rooting (either gold carding or downgrading the HBOOT). thanks for the reply and ur answer . btw, it does mean if we (desire) could flash back to current stock rom (unrooted), we surely could claim our warranty as they cant check either the phone has been rooted or not ait? mind sharing opinions regarding this one? btw, so envy that nexus one is the 1st phone to be seeing gingerbread vanilla UI which will hopefully PWN all custom UIs. +1 points to nexus one This post has been edited by pluginbaby: Jul 22 2010, 08:44 AM

QUOTE(cleave @ Jul 22 2010, 09:37 AM) greyed out? You dont have an EXT partition on your SD do you? Are you using any widgets? There's something you need to understand. Warranty is void when you touch the bootloader. Since rooting requires you to unlock your bootloader, many people assume that rooting voids your warranty and unrooting the phone back will make it all OK and HTC wouldnt know a thing. That's not the case. The voiding part happens before the actual rooting when you manhandled your HBOOT in any ways. The bootloader, once unlocked cannot be re-locked. Although Desire users cannot actually see their bootloader status, HTC have their way of knowing. They will run a software integrity check of some sort on the phone your once you send it in for warranty claims. The ways to get around this are 1) to root without unlocking the bootloader which is only possible on the N1 2) Relock the bootloader. There is no way of doing that currently. Thanks for the information. Its getting cleared up for me now

QUOTE(kentang_peranchis @ Jul 22 2010, 11:48 PM) Better save ur money for more useful purpose. Very soon thr will be no more accessories and support 4 this sad fone bcos google killed it ady. Even tho google said it will continue to support but ppl with some common sense wun belip it. Nobody wld wanna invest in sumthg dead already right? nexus one will be valid for quite sometime.. if someone to consider he is an android geek, he would be proud to own a nexus1.. nexus one will be mentioned as a legend. Yes indeed it will be a collectors item. The desire is tied to HTC as updates are very slow indeed coming direct from HTC. The specs are similar too. Nexus one is gonna get gingerbread for sure so a polished UI would be awesome. I do agree that nexus one is beaten by other super phones such as galaxy S but have a mind of when nexus one is released. Of course the newer ones is gonna have a slightly better spec but having a total support from google is priceless if u consider urself a proud android owner.

QUOTE(cleave @ Sep 3 2010, 03:32 PM) any changes/improvements over FRF91? Weird that they are changing to FRG.. but again perhaps not , after FRF91 is surely has to be the unreleased frf92, frf93 and so on so they moved on to the next alphabet instead of being triple digits.. Some people are speculationg G over gingerbread, i dont think so This post has been edited by pluginbaby: Sep 3 2010, 04:12 PM

QUOTE(muha90 @ Sep 3 2010, 04:19 PM) waa i am so noob when come to android phone about the spec.........i want the pwoerful one, but also good for my money btw, whats htc sense actually?? what so special about it?? HTC Sense is the custom UI on top of stock android, the bad side is custom UI phones will get updates much slower compared to the Nexus One which is directly supported and using stock android UI. It is so much better if you do a lil study 1st before buying since there is a lot of things to expect which u might have not been expecting at all. It is best to have an idea of what you are getting in advance . Both phones have been good and awesome to me, its hard to me to recommend either one since both has the almost similar spec but the UI is preferred differently from person to person

Anyone here used or has a quadrant pro? what is your cpu score? i see many talks now about and questioning either does hummingbird is actually fast.. And the hummingbird also is unable to take advantage over the JIT in froyo and that causes the delays of their froyo update..
Seems like only snapdragon gets the sweet over Froyo's JIT compiler and this includes QSD8250 which is in the Nexus one and HTC Desire. Seems like with froyo, QSD8250 wins with CPU but loses on GPU score. Take note that the SGS suffers from the capped Vsync and slow internal forcing them to use the Lagfix to get I/0 score higher.
Still, seems like the 65nm QSD8250 is faster in terms of calculation and CPU stuffs.. any thoughts?
