I was quoted as a grey (water) set, and of course no warranty.
But it looks 99% new, and I am happy with it, save the hassels ordering online and have it send it to HK (I'm now in Macau)

btw, anyone has rooted and tried and roms?
any related topic here? cool2.gif

122 is also one of their emergency number.. i found a way to solve it by rooting but i'm looking for a solution that doesn't require rooting..

install the latest version (HelixLauncher2 0.7) will bring your home button back to center.

Based on my N1 experiences, the most power hungry 'part' is the DISPLAY. I estimated, I can get 300 hours of standby if I don't use the display/screen at all:).

Also, I am limited max CPU frequency to 500MHz all the time and use 'conservative' cpufreq's governor. Still I able to play 3D games withou any problems. (+ using slimmed down kernel) . For the example, I got 26.8 fps for 3D Neocores benchmark, but only 3.6 MFLOPS in Linpack's benchmark (7MFLOPS@998MHz) . Since I am just uisng the N1 typical smartphone, without any number crunching calculation, I safely can set the max cpufreq to 500MHz, or less if I wanted to smile.gif

I watched the How to save battery life clip, and if you realized, the battery usage for Display was 7% @ 13h47m9s at the starting of the clip. But, if you look carefully at the end of the clip, the Display used 8%@13h54m17s ... so in about 7 minute, Display consumed 1% of battery life smile.gif.

So, by less using the display, we can save quite significant amount of battery life. smile.gif I set the screen timeout to 15sec, or set to standby just after using it. Previously, I used the Task Killer, but, now I just leave to Android to handle it by itself. I just need to monitor Battery Usage more frequently smile.gif.

Other things are, I am using any LIVE wallpaper. If you are using wallpaper, use a wallpaper with 'darker' tone. Because, OLED will use more power when it want to produce WHITE or whiter/bright colours. In my case, I only use solid black wallpaper. smile.gif

2) I am using any widets, except the Google Buzz widget.

3) Always check battery usage or running apps if you feel 'warm' Sometime, your N1 might working hard to get connected to your telco, so, make sure you have a good reception. Luckily I am living and working at places which have strong signal smile.gif

4) Use less Google Maps. smile.gif... Why?
a) Google Maps must use 3G connection... this one is quite power comsuming
b) Your screen need to be on all the time... further more, the Map is in WHITE which consome even more power.
c) GPS chipset and CPU must do lots of calculations, more power to be consumed .

Thank you.
