QUOTE(bluelion @ Oct 24 2012, 02:59 PM) Hi all Sifu, i'm a newbie here and lately am interest in tea. Hi,the tea of choice is puer.. and was planning to buy a zi ni pot, but afraid buy those fake "chemical" pot. i got went to tea-li, and saw a zi ni pot of choice costed rm60(me in budget) but dunno is it real o not... please oohh master sifu...any advice on how to check is it real? Not and expert yet but still at infancy level but i can share my experience if you dont mind I had my fair share of experience purchasing 5 to 8 teapots ranging from RM50 to RM300. They are all claimed as zhi sha. I have to admit acquiring them bring some self satisfaction but when i look deeper i asked a question. What does the teapot do? Does it help to enhanced the flavour of the tea? At the end I can only come to a conclusion, they all comes out the same regardless of which tea pot the tea came out from. Feeling disappointed, I continue my search for a better tea pot that can truely help to enhance the flavour of the tea. Over the journey, i found many tea pot some very expensive but still it didnt help to make the tea better. Things came to a change when i went to Hojo mid valley recently. They introduced me a Sado Clay teapot. Its no where near cheap. Each of them are sold at RM680. The tea that was prepared using this tea pot make the tea very sweet. The sweetness actually lingers around the mouth and throat. I must admit i was quite sceptical before. I have always this prejudice that things sold at up market shopping center are often slapped with a hefty price tag and comes with a so so quality. But this experience totally changed me. You can go try it out yourself to know the differences. The staff there are very helpful. They even let me try many of their teas. As a puer lover (mostly raw), they recommended me a few. But i find them taste the same as those i already had at home. The boss Hojo then introduced me another two puer 1. Xiu Lin Wu Hao Raw Puer - RM100 (200g Cake) 2. Bai Ying Shan Raw Puer 2008 - RM128 (100g pAck) These two puers has the sweetness that i have not tasted before. I'm totally stunned. Infact the one that stunt me was not the second one. Its the first one " XIU LIN YU HAO". I'm totally tea drunk. Hojo told me the puer was over fried due to technical error. Due this nature the farmers are selling them very cheap and he bought at large quantity as the quality of the tea was so good. Go have a try and share your experience. |

QUOTE(sss333 @ Oct 30 2012, 11:45 AM) If u all wish to know how different chinse made zisha pot will bring out the tea, then go tacha kepong, u can ask the boss to try n test out there, can also try their tea. Their raw pu erh is worth trying better than hojo in my opinion for the similar price product. Hi Bro,Anyone specific one that you would recomend? |
