A lil teaser:

Lil bro's only less than 50ml, nicely fermented Zini while big sis's elegant yet sturdy, aged sand blended Duanni

Hahaha... Since i dont have proper artificial lighting photography setup, i figure i utilize natural lighting instead. But not skilled at all by the look of photos snapped whistling.gif Yeah, i often view my pots under sunlight, i get more details this way

I reckon my "kecil monyet" teapots are no where near your mighty ones, Auhckw sweat.gif

In LG of Pudu Plaza lo.

These days...Zhuni ah.. RM150 to RM600 (non artist). Newly made good Zhuni is getting more and more expensive. If you find something too cheap and claimed to be pure Zhuni... probably is not...

In fact most are not Zhuni, thats why i am so frustrated. If it wasnt for Danchong, i wouldnt care for this clay at all. Betul-betul racist, this tea, hahaha...

Yeah i tried gaiwan, acceptable but still wish to go the extra mile. Of course not at the expense of overprice. Also, i am not too used to using gaiwan

I tried aged Duanni and BSLN, increased depth but missing alot of other components. Not reccomended especially if delicate Danchong. Two of my 60-70's red clay is OK but still not perfect. Guess the technology back then not able to maximize the clay potential

Cant help Blueye. For the amount spent on Danchong's, must juice the most out of it, hahaha

... And it's good practice to sharpen "Gongfu" skill, brewing a good cup of Danchong

2004 Hua Lian Brick Raw - Friend bought this in Macao directly from the producer there. This is Macao storage. Seems like it has aged faster with the storage there. A little wet taste but not too bad. Taste a little like late 80s Ba Zhong Yellow Mark. Woody taste.

Hey Tsuyoshi-kun, you can always test out the teapots with hot water first. Go for smell first. If acceptable then only move on to taste. Hot water will tell you alot of tales about a teapot. If both pots proven, you can not only enjoy looking at it, but put it in action and further enhance it. That's double the pleasure, or even more. Hope this helps

Added on October 14, 2011, 12:54 pmPorcelain or glass blueye. That way you can cheat yourself to acquiring more and more tea first, hahaha...

Blueye, dont get annoyed yar, joking only. Anyway, it's not wrong. In fact better than just buying pots for display only, not for use. Utilizing it is in a sense paying it respect, it can get a job well done!

I see... Yep, heat is very important. Ironically, i dont brew too hot regardless whatever tea

I on the contrary dont enjoy beverages such as tea and wine with food. Weird me, but i prefer them on their own

RO water OK
Mineral water OK
Distilled water - No OK

Yep, somewhere Genting Sempah there also claimed to have this "spring water", but question is how hygiene, those roadside ones? Btw, raising water is a good idea, but dont let water sit for too low and "die". It will be worse than normal tap water. If possible, opt for two filters - One to trap particles, etc and another carbon bed to handle Chlorine. KL water is crap as most know

I also use purified tap water only, but would like to try different quality of water. Quality of water is very important to bring out the flavour of tea. If u hav time u should try from different source of water on the same tea leaves and taste the difference. The water vessel u used to boil the water also will affect the water quality. There are so much to learn and discover in tea brewing.

Let me guess Tsuyoshi-kun, you went visit the "master"? Hahaha... Hope you got what i meant
