Don't know why... but I think I am getting pretty upset about Ripe Pu these days (been like this since many months). Plan to sell off all my Ripe at bulk at my purchase price. Anyone interested, do let me know.
*
I guess its those moments when you just bored. I been there. So what I do is I switch temporary to laocongshuixian, then liubao, back to pu erh biggrin.gif

I got few type of tea to cycle, so usually I drink from raw to fermented tea. And now I am drinking chinese tea.

I stop ripe for at least 4 to 5 months already. The 'geli' taste is still there regardless what ripe brand... what age 80s, 90s and new... all fall under same geli feeling. Last few days i had one ripe with bean taste, ppl there enjoying i nearly want to vormit out.

I will continue to fast on ripe and see how it goes... meanwhile will drink raw and oolong.
*
oh, geli taste? hmmmm, i probably didn't notice it since i drink mostly 2006++ tea blush.gif
I am in dilemma! Could we postpone the tea pot lid handover ceremony to October? laugh.gif Sorry for the delay.

Most Sunday 4.30pm-5pm I will be in Pasar Seni, transiting to Klang, if you can I can LRT to Kelana Jaya for meetup biggrin.gif

*
i would say antic shop and if you lucky (keep looking some tea shop may have it).
QUOTE(kuekwee @ Sep 13 2011, 01:17 AM)
errr the cup is design or look dirty?
*
as explained by auhckw
QUOTE(auhckw @ Sep 13 2011, 09:46 AM)
Blueye's cup used to be the mangkuk for those rubber trees. IIRC, shop was saying it was made in 1930s (correct me if i'm wrong blueye).
He tried it with old liubao and ripe pu, immediately he fall in love with it. The shape and size fits nicely to his palm. I was looking at him and hoping he don't want, so that i can sapu... haha... guess not mine is not mine
*
Yes, the shop owner said it was around 1930-40 meant for collecting rubber tap thingy. Maybe the boss still have some more of it? well, I don't mind let you test with the cup tongue.gif as if you realize most tea shop we go to... all cup were share anyway biggrin.gif then you can feel how good it is.

Added on September 13, 2011, 8:44 amBtw Blueye, looks like the pot can do ripe Pu Erh good
*
KittyKat, I LOVE the way you put it. I have tested on the 70liubao it was great. Ripe pu er no problem there as mentioned by auhckw. I guess must be the price, cause when I drink plain water from that cup also taste sweet laugh.gif

I will probably hunt for few more for old time sake biggrin.gif

Tasted this couple of times, but decided to buy 1 piece for keeping and see how a 300 years old Bulang tree will taste like in the next couple of years. Will it remains tasty or become tasteless..

As of now, I like the light smokiness fresh taste. Saliva flow is good.

Review of Xinhai 357g by Clouds
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...TuZNgLocIRWvcGA

Rated so low... sad.gif

Thanks to our George Soros of pu.... my feeling of reading the article is like bought a stock at a low price with hopes it will go up, the next day it crashes... hahaha....

That said... there can also be a possibility that Clouds reviewed it as bad to let the price drop so that he can buy more… and later goreng it up again. But we need to really taste it ourselves to find out.

I was reading the link you gave.... very difficult to understand English... and then IT hit me... I switch to original text.

If malaysian stored...

A normal beeng takes about 10 years above to enter it's mid age.
A iron beeng would take about 15 years above to enter it's mid age.
*
so maybe you need to pass to a non malaysian, maybe beeng faster aged. (am joking, i know you mean in Malaysia) laugh.gif

for BEST taste, drink with cute buddy like me or Auhckw or anybody here.
QUOTE(auhckw @ Sep 25 2011, 09:57 PM)
Actually the tea doesn't need to be old to be nice. Diff age has it's diff character. Enjoy it progressively as it age would be the best smile.gif

The statement above apply more towards raw pu. Ripe pu a doesn't change that big over time.
*
cause raw pu mature slowly and ripe pu very old, oh my... i am too hyper and talking nonsense.... somebody stop me!! shakehead.gif
