I went popular bookshop and saw there was. Rm60 book on how to do product shots it's in Chinese though. Even I banana but still buy cos lots of pics of setup. Now thst would be v helpful kan?
Pssst: anyone still interested in the beercan? Minolta 70-210 f4? I still holding onto one and wants to let go. PM me please for fast deal.

My sentiments are also in favour of Primes. Primes gives the BEST IQ (i would say perhaps 95% of the time?? guessing cos there are some primes which suck I think)
Zooms offer convinience. They may not have the BEST IQ, but it depends on what you can live with. Yes, some are exceptionally good, but there are also zooms which to me, "good for everything, but also good for nothing" (like those ultra zooms 18-270mm for eg)
You trade off this for that and etc. I've yet to see a zoom that is < f2.8. But Primes, even got f1.0 man.
Also, with primes, you have to be creative in your shots because of the limiting factor in that you can't zoom.
The limiting factor, most of the time is the person behind the camera. Uber lens / camera does not make you uber shooter. (whoever "you" are, just generalising). BUT, once you've gone to the stage where you are "good enough" then your gears becomes the limiting factor.
That is when you need to get the A900 or perhaps also jump ship...............

ier : I wait the day you change your tune. There will come a day when you will say that it's the gear that's limiting you. eg: Entry level A200 or 1000D canon, high ISO is bad and all that. Then you want to upgrade cos by that time, it'll be the gear.
200mm F4 vs 50mm 1.4? the thing different between these is how the tele will compress the image. May not get you the flattering effect on the person's face for instance.
Again, all these depends on your usage and what you want to shoot.
Time... time will tell the difference. I'll just stand back and let you convince yourself otherwise.
I was there once.
