I'd suggest getting a flashgun. Save and cheaper than Tamron 17-50.
Based on the previous advice of many Sifus here, I bought a flashgun (F58) even before I bought the 16-105.
After that, I was deciding between the 16-105 or the Tammy 17-50. In the end, I bought the 16-105 because I think it was more useful due to the zoom range and because I already have a flash. It worked quite well for a while, especially as a "holiday" lens.
But I noticed that it didn't do too well under low light conditions and in open areas, where I find it difficult to bounce the flash properly. Arguably, I should work to improve my flash skills. But many times, I don't have too much time to fiddle with the flash settings, since the best moments come and go.
Also, I'm thinking of injecting more "artistic" bokeh into my photos. That's why I'm comtemplating adding the Tamron into my collection. My plan is: 1) Use the 16-105 during outdoors (day times); 2) Use the Tammy indoors and at night (flash as required).
Anyway, as adviced by Banzai-san, will check with ceriss on the latest price.
Thanks.
