last time his colleague was in KL, so i passed my A100 to him. then when my friend went there to pick up his converted D90, i asked him to picked mine too. lol.

RaplaJingga in alphanatics sent his A350 to Dr. Ali as an experiment and Dr. Ali have successfully made the conversion. since then, Dr. Ali started converting Sony alpha for IR, other than Canon and Nikon. A300 and A350 doesn't differ much except for megapixels, so i guess it's ok to send your A300 for conversion icon_rolleyes.gif

Bought this 50mm F1.4 AF confirm chip from cjlai (who provided installation.) However because the rear element of the Opteka/Samyang 85mm F1.4 protrudes past the mount, it would push the chip out slightly when focused at infinity, making it unable to mount and cause an undetected aperture.

However, I have filed down the chip using the ridged handle part of one of my screwdrivers! This was way faster than using a nailclipper file!

Ah, clearance!

signither: Nice!

As long as it does not suffer this fate it should be good:

zstan: There is art, but this doesn't make sense to me.

hazril: Hmmm.

Yup - it reports 50mm F1.4 and allows for auto-exposure, Intelligent Preview and SteadyShot. Oh and focus trap with Focus Priority enabled!

It's in your menu. You can choose Release Priority (shoot even when not in focus) or Focus Priority (shoot only when in focus).
