anyone know whether there will be any other new phone package?
currently paying rm48 monthly for my maxis bb, which i would rather pay for the digi smart plan + phone.

Got new phone what... but... it's an cheap old Huawei Android and a CSL tablet... ha ha ha...

Maybe you can consider the Desire HD. Data plan RM23 for first 6 months seems like a nice deal. Maybe they're clearing stocks for some new phones biggrin.gif

EDIT: Now they also have LG Optimus One... maybe trying to attract Android virgins with all these entry-level phones...

Now Digi iPnone plan is the best..

iPhone 4 saving = RM800
RM58 for 1GB data + 200 min talk time + 200 SMS +20MMS

Waiting for iPhone 5 now, i will get the plan, got rumor iP5 is cheaper summore.

iPhone 4 cheaper than iPhone 3. iPhone 5 cheaper than iPhone 4. Early adopters always lose. But then, technology waits for no one.

DiGi already pulled out HTC Aria from their Smart Plan. Obsolete phone? Hopefully new ones coming soon. Atrix, SGS2 or Optimus 3D.

depends on ur usage... if on 24hrs then not enough lor..haha.

Can always switch to wifi when available. But no worries, no extra charge from Digi if exceed only speed throttle to 128kbps.
*
Smart Plan Lite and Internet Lite has no throttling, they cut you off when you reach your quota. This is better than Maxis, they slaughter you when you exceed quota.

Is the phone subsidised by the smart plan package like the DHD sim locked to Digi only?
*
No locking. You can use the phone with other SIM, and other phone with the DiGi SIM.

Latest Android HTC Incredible S under Digi SmartPlan - rumors said only available next month

FROM : http://www.soyacincau.com/2011/03/18/htc-i...ed-in-malaysia/

" On contract, DiGi is offering RM550 subsidy for 1 year contract and RM800 for 2 years, making the device priced at RM1449 and RM1199 respectively. If you’re an existing contracted DG Smart Plan customer, unfortunately there’s no upgrade or contract extension plans at the moment. HTC Malaysia has also mentioned that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Incredible S will be coming in June. "

Wow, better deal than the current Desire HD biggrin.gif

i'm curious about the smart plan lite, is the speed the same as smart plan (RM68)?  i mean do i still use hspa (for certain areas), 3g and so on?  i'm asking on behalf of a friend who owns a smartphone but hasn't signed up for any data plan, she's using digi now.  she doesn't want to take the RM68 plan because she rarely use data, everywhere she goes got wifi, only on occasions where she's traveling she needs to use data.  300mb per month is very sufficient for her.

i'm using maxis, with only 100mb per month data plan, and it's more than enough because my situation is similar like her's.

users of smart plan lite, pls do give some feedback on this, thanks
*
I'm using Internet Lite, which is the same as Smart Plan Lite except Internet Lite is for supp lines. It uses HSDPA when available. If 300MB is sufficient, that's the way to go. Plus, no contract, so can discontinue anytime smile.gif

*
Primary line user is Smart Plan Lite.
Supp line user is Internet Lite.
Different names, same thing.

QUOTE(driftmeister @ Mar 23 2011, 05:42 PM)
what if the usage exceeds 300mb?
*
DiGi will cut the data line if exceed 300MB. No throttling.

Hi,
i wan to ask something about the Digi Smart Plan lite~
i plan to take smart plan lite becoz i dun nid 3gb quota tat much and 68 jz for data is a bit exp for me.
i hav wifi at office and home too~ but office's wifi block facebook.
So i plan to use data plan during working hour and use wifi when i reach my house~

jz wan to ask:
1. is it 300mb enuf for facebook and foursquare ?
2. if exceed 300mb, what will happen ?
3. does smart plan lite hav fren n family ?

Thanks 1st~  notworthy.gif

1. You can try. My wife using Smart Plan (3GB), uses Facebook everyday, only couple of hundred MB. If not enough you can upgrade to Smart Plan, no contract.
2. Exceed 300MB, will cut off. Install some data monitoring app to record your usage.
3. Smart Plan Lite is an add-on to your existing call plan, it won't affect your FnF.

ya... but for the 48plan... once you exceed the quota (1GB), they throttle to 5kbps... wah lau eh... dunno whether to laugh or cry... where got ppl torture others with 5kbps connections...!??

btw, yumei and yujin related? both starts with yu and ends with 86. twins?!?

For those who know they are going to need more than 1GB, surely take the 3GB plan already? smile.gif 1GB plan is for people like me, hardly reach 500MB per month.
