QUOTE(anechoic @ Mar 18 2011, 12:38 PM) depends on ur usage... if on 24hrs then not enough lor..haha. Can always switch to wifi when available. But no worries, no extra charge from Digi if exceed only speed throttle to 128kbps. Smart Plan Lite and Internet Lite has no throttling, they cut you off when you reach your quota. This is better than Maxis, they slaughter you when you exceed quota. QUOTE(lunar @ Mar 19 2011, 11:23 AM) Is the phone subsidised by the smart plan package like the DHD sim locked to Digi only? No locking. You can use the phone with other SIM, and other phone with the DiGi SIM. QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 19 2011, 11:39 AM) Latest Android HTC Incredible S under Digi SmartPlan - rumors said only available next month http://www.digi.com.my/internet/smartplan/...reregister.htmlFROM : http://www.soyacincau.com/2011/03/18/htc-i...ed-in-malaysia/" On contract, DiGi is offering RM550 subsidy for 1 year contract and RM800 for 2 years, making the device priced at RM1449 and RM1199 respectively. If you’re an existing contracted DG Smart Plan customer, unfortunately there’s no upgrade or contract extension plans at the moment. HTC Malaysia has also mentioned that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Incredible S will be coming in June. " Wow, better deal than the current Desire HD

yeah..maxis data plans can slaughter if data exceed the specific plan...but they capped the max amount to rm 250, which is still way expensive.

i'm curious about the smart plan lite, is the speed the same as smart plan (RM68)? i mean do i still use hspa (for certain areas), 3g and so on? i'm asking on behalf of a friend who owns a smartphone but hasn't signed up for any data plan, she's using digi now. she doesn't want to take the RM68 plan because she rarely use data, everywhere she goes got wifi, only on occasions where she's traveling she needs to use data. 300mb per month is very sufficient for her.
i'm using maxis, with only 100mb per month data plan, and it's more than enough because my situation is similar like her's.
users of smart plan lite, pls do give some feedback on this, thanks

It uses HSDPA when available. If 300MB is sufficient, that's the way to go. Plus, no contract, so can discontinue anytime

I thought for lite if exceed it will stop your data connection. I'm using lite for exchange email and gmail plus everyday forum browsing, still didn't use up the 300MB.

I plan to buy a HTC Desire HD.
The amount I should pay is RM1,967 (RM1,399 + RM500 + RM68), right?
We actually can get DHD below this price without subscribing DG plan (24 months contract).
My question is: What benefit we get after subscribing DG plan?
Kindly enlighten me. Thank you.

Thank you. initial payment is 1399 + 500 and the 500 will deduct for ur monthly RM23/RM68 + ur usage. the benefit is Digi is subsidizing the DHD cost to Rm1399 instead of RM2299 and also first 6 months u will enjoy cheaper smartplan cost

I'm not tied to Digi contract which is 24 months. I don't see benefits of the plan since initial payment is close to RM1900. I'm still confused about it.
