will the 12.5mm 2.5" HDD (750GB or 1TB) fit into mid 2010 mbp 13/15/17? I'm getting mixed responses of yes and no. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php...highlight=750gbhttp://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=754161&page=3This post has been edited by yeahs4.1: Jun 28 2010, 10:06 PM

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Jun 28 2010, 10:39 PM) If you're looking at the 750GB, the latest iteration is 9.5mm... only the 1TB is at 12.5mm, and spins slower at 5,200rpm instead of 5,400rpm... But then again, I have not seen 750GB anywhere here... i'm looking at the biggest capacity available that can be fitted in mid 2010 mbp 13", i'm fine with 5400/5200 RPM as the improvement of additional 2000RPM is reported marginal.

hi guys, just got a mac and now on the way to setup a simple home networking for internet/file sharing between a mac and a pc without router. (dont ask me why i didnt get a router involved)
currently the pc acts as a server that is connected to internet, and mac is connected to pc via wireless ad-hoc(peer to peer) connection. this works fine so far.
what i'm having problem is the file sharing section. i created a network and a workgroup in windows, and my windows has been granted access to read the shared folders in mac. the problem is now, mac can't get access to window's shared folder. from the Network section, there is no network/workgroup detected, and i can't get it connect to any server on windows, both afp and smb
any idea what's wrong guys? really appreciate it

i had the some kinda issue with the mobile 3g broadband(usb stick) too. mac will automatically install the pre-loaded software from the usb stick, but it just wouldnt work. after some troubleshooting, mac finally recognized the usb modem via Network, and connects to the internet without using the software, but the speed is really slow, like 10% of what i normally get..

QUOTE(inachi @ Jul 12 2010, 12:08 AM) Last time i installed Digi Broadband and when i try to open the app,it sayd the programme is closed unexpectedly. Then i try to upgrade my USB firmware, and it works after that. may i know how do you actually upgrade the usb firmware? did you get it from the hardware provider(huawei?) or apple support? i had the same issue
