Like Ive stated in the previous post... MBP is definitely worth the extra RM500 for the above stated reasons... Why would you wanna regret getting something on a different league? If its the MBP 13" that has been upgraded then yea but now its the MBW... Unless you prefer the MBW...

If you get something that have just been updated you should have no worries unless the same thing you purchase got upgraded again which is kind of impossible for apple to do that... So just continue feeling satisfied with your purchase...

@inachi All the settings are correct? There are no limits for the partition... Im just afraid that your windows installation disk has some files corrupted etc...

@keepme88 magic mouse is not compatible with windows 7... You have to find special drivers for them... Ive given a link in the other thread... Go read through the pages... cant remember which page.. Or if you are lazy to read through then google it out...

Just download steam and get ready to buy those games available on steam... Im sure there are more to come for Mac...

Added on May 20, 2010, 7:25 pmOr just use bootcamp and install windows and you are good to go for windows games.

I dont think it will affect your installation unless you are saying you partition less than the required space... If not shouldnt be any problem.. Maybe you could try out dvlz suggestion on formatting it to ntfs...

Or check on your Windows Installation disc... Maybe some files are corrupted or something...

QUOTE(lancefire @ May 20 2010, 11:04 PM)
I tried using magic mouse on windows 7 and it worked out of the box (It was detected as a Bluetooth Mouse). But I wouldn't recommend it if you're using it on a PC as it just feels "out". There is some lag and multitouch is not supported. However, if you're thinking of using it for a second OS on a Mac I guess it's fine.
I honestly think that the design is too slim for good ergonomics. There is an imminent fear of "clicking" when all you want to do is multitouch or move the mouse around. If you're thinking of gaming using a magic mouse, I think you're better off putting your money on better mice.

You tried it with your bootcamp Windows 7? Cause previously there is a forumer did complain it cant function well in his bootcamped Windows 7 so I suggested him to download some drivers which can be googled... Not sure about Parallel/VMWare...

But if you run it in bootcamp then will it still go through OSX before going to windows? I think when you bootcamped to windows it will run through windows right? Windows definitely cant understand the gestures as previously stated windows needed a special downloaded driver for it to work...

I think the MyBook Essential for Mac is enough for your daily backup and storage if you want a cheaper solution... Unless you need the firewire =)...

You can install ntfs-3g in order to use NTFS format with your mac and can transfer files bigger than 4GB...

Added on May 21, 2010, 2:41 pmOr you can refer to this thread below for more info about HDD formatting...

Alienware is overrated... Just get some other brand laptop which has graphics cards the same as alienware.. Im sure with the same spec on Asus or other brands you could get a cheaper gaming laptop...

You can head down to their thread... But if you still insist on a MacBook.. Go for the 15" or 17" the best is core i7 series like what nimrod suggested...

The best is to get a desktop =) like me for gaming I have my core i7 desktop for gaming and my laptop for portability...

Actually you can head down to the apple website to compare the specs... The most obvious difference will be their processors... MBP 13" is only using the Core 2 Duo while the 15" are using core i5 and core i7.... Go compare at the below link...

http://store.apple.com/my/browse/home/shop...mco=MTAyNTQzMzk

If you have the budget then the MBP 15" is the best choice if not MBP13" is also good enough.. But for future proof core i series processors (MBP 15") should be the way to go... Can further read the mac purchase guide thread which is pinned... Alot of people ask for advices on which to go and so on...

@inachi You can try partition it smaller than 32GB and see if its working or not..As Ive read the 32GB limitation on a partition is applied in Windows XP 2000 and below.. Not sure about windows 7 or vista.. Maybe try 30GB? or lower? Lower shouldnt give you any problem... You have tried the NTFS right? I think NTFS should be the best but since you are facing problem then go ahead with your CD way..

@mememe12 Hey... Still havent got it yet oh and its MyBook Essential not the Studio version! Damn company... Ive recieved 2TB MyBook Essential for my cousin and also MyPassport Essential for my gf... Only mine havent reach yet.. They say popular demand...

The price should be the same it doesnt matter if its made for Mac or Windows as the difference is just the formatting of NTFS and FAT32... Like my Mybook that I ordered will come in NTFS format which is not compatible in Mac... So I just need to install ntfs-3g and Im good to go or I just format it to FAT32...

@keepme88 Did you try updating the sound drivers on your windows? Maybe you can try updating the drivers first and see what happens...

Never bought online before... But maybe you can go to those sellers who sell PC games and ask them if they can bring in Mac games also? No harm asking them...

i think there is counter strike for mac???? correct me if im wrong..

I still think its not compatible.... Cant seem to find any information on google... Just that the crossover program allows you to play windows games.... Other than that only bootcamp able to play those games... So have to wait for steam to release the CS source for mac...
