tyvm for info smile.gif, but i just bought it with i5 540 / 4g ram  for 3599 including bag plus 8 gifts. that's the best price i could get in lowyat after doing the whole survey tour, u

can get it without the gifts for 3574 but in another shop.

also if anyone interested to buy the same model but with i5 430 including 4 g ram the best price you can get including the gifts is 3471 rm

( basic price 3299 + gifts) + 172 rm (2 g ram) ........ all together = 3471 rm,

with  just 2 g ram you can get it for 3299 rm

good luck to anyone interested. by the way the shop is Jayacom information sdn.bhd (JCI) last floor.
to tell you the truth the difference between i5 430 and 540 does matter for me, plus its only 129 rm extra. in the long term it will make a difference tongue.gif

Gratz on your purchase smile.gif. Do let us know too if you're having the same problem when you operate it the 1st time with more heat than usual. I'll be posting some results this midnight if possible.

thx alot smile.gif, its true the first time i started it up like 5 mins and u can feel the heat, haven't tested the heat using speedfan yet. i am accustomed to heat by now, i

have another laptop 17 inch hp pavilion dv9315 that laptop is the worst laptop in terms of heating that i have encountered with, this model was recalled from market i think

before 1 year for the same issue " heat" , and they were offering a replacement of the laptop but unlucky me i didn't know about it. because of the heat i had to replace

the graphic card which is Geforce go 6150 128 mb, the processor was amd turion 64 x2 tl-52. and in order to replace the card from hp i had to pay around 700+ rm but i

did it in another shop for 300 rm ( that time didn't have warranty), that's why i was reluctant to buy lenovo when u guys mentioned the heat issue but i think there is no

comparison with hp.

with hp ----------------GPU will shoot up to 90 C,

Cpu to 75+ C seriously i could cook an egg on it from heat shocking.gif

another thing due to heat one of my ram slots isn't working rclxub.gif so you can see the laptop is in death stage, but the 17 inch lcd is something u got to love, really cool

when watching a movie.

My apologies for taking so long to reply,

As far as I have tested out you can reinstall windows without messing around with C Drive's size and OKR will still works. To make OKR work again if you've resize C Drive (assuming you've left the hidden partition as well as the D drive intact) then remove all the partitions you make on C and OKR should work again.

If all else fail, then you'll probably need to use another method of creating your system image for backup purposes.

If I'm not mistaken both mutesync.exe and audiodg.exe are used by the touch control buttons for the audio control on the laptop. Remove or disable them and the buttons will fail to function. Note that mutesync is only provided on the drivers in the D drive and cannot be downloaded from Lenovo's support page.

can we clean install windows without a reformat??
and i dont have both mutesync.exe and audiodg.exe but the touch control button still works....i thought the touch control is operated by onetouch support.exe??

I only used the speaker while watching Transformer 2 HD and it performed beyond what I expected. Clear sounds with no distorted highs and loud with no irritating hissing. Even you sit a bit far apart you'll hear it loud and clear. thumbup.gif

Some of the tests that I ran these few days:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Today was doing a simple test which is in my room with fan only. Just took a screenshot and here it is:
[attachmentid=1536958]
I opened a 720p video and let it run in the background whole day with Intel GC on. The temp didn't increase much during the afternoon with warm air in my room.

NOTE:Was playing SF4 on my 22 inch LCD(16:10) with native resolution setting w/ no AA but others high setting. I don't feel any lag at all which is quite impressed(GPU stayed ave 70C most of my gaming time) smile.gif. Other results will post tomorrow.
Day 1 Conclusion

you manage to get that low temp while running hd video using intel gfx?! so impressive
i cant even to reach that = =
do you use cooler pad ?

Added on April 20, 2010, 2:56 pmlet me share one thing about 460, it has a light sensor for automatically adjusting LCD brightness
the sensor is located at right side of wireless indicator. it is a small sensor
if you ever cover the sensor... the brightness will be reduced automatically =D

Yes, you can. Insert your own win CD/DVD and select custom installation and select the C drive as the installation partition instead of selecting the upgrade option. If you do it this way your previous installation files is assessable via a folder called Windows.old (you can access the files only but you cannot boot into your previous OS).

Note: You can also choose to format C and install your new OS there. Either way OKR should still remain functional. Please be aware that if you restore your system using OKR it's still going to return to factory default.

Funny, I don't have onetouch support.exe but I do have OnekeySupport.exe. I also have mutesynce.exe but not audiodg.exe. (Note my version of OS is a self installed version and not the one from Levono's factory default).

so it means OKR will only works if i don't create any new partition from C: ??

if created, need to merge them back to original size?

if i have few partitions and insist to use OKR what will happen? no option to install in C: only while leaving other new partitions untouched?
